Robust broadcast via relayed retransmission
Systems and methods for broadcasting wireless data via one or more retransmission schemes to increase the packet reception in a wireless system. One or more devices of the system are configured to listen for an initial data packet from a source device. Should one or more devices successfully receive the initial packet, each device that received the packet can unconditionally retransmit a copy of the payload of the initial packet such that any device that failed to receive the initial packet payload has an opportunity to receive it during the respective retransmissions. Similarly, each device of the system can send acknowledgements to the other system devices that indicate whether they received the initial packet. Should one or more of the devices successfully receive the initial packet, the devices can conditionally retransmit a copy of the missing payload when one or more devices indicates they have failed to receive it.

Acoustic signal processing device, acoustic signal processing method, and program for determining a steering coefficient which depends on angle between sound source and microphone
An acoustic signal processing device calculates a signal waveform that a microphone receives when at least one of a sound source and the microphone is moving. The acoustic signal processing device includes a coefficient calculation unit configured to model a steering coefficient g.sub.k,m representing how much an amplitude of a sound source signal emitted at an mth discrete time, where m is an integer between 1 and M and M is a length of the sound source signal, is transferred to an amplitude of a signal that the microphone receives at a kth discrete time, where k is an integer between 1 and K and K is a length of a recording signal, using N-order Fourier series expansion where N is an integer of 1 or more, and a recording signal calculation unit configured to calculate the signal waveform that the microphone receives using the modeled steering coefficient g.sub.k,m.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING AT LEAST ONE MULTICHANNEL AUDIO MATRIX ACROSS A GLOBAL NETWORK
A system and method for transmitting at least one multichannel audio matrix across a global network is shown and described. The method for transmitting at least one multichannel audio matrix across a global network begins by capturing audio from a production source. The captured audio is then converted from an analog format to a digital format. The digital audio may then be encoded using an audio codec. The audio is sent to a network and received at a second location. The second location uses a specialized computing device to ensure the audio is properly received. If the audio was encoded, it is now decoded. Once decoded if needed the audio is converted back to analog format. This will allow for the audio to be mixed on a mixing device.
Intermediate compression for higher order ambisonic audio data
In general, techniques are directed to intermediate compression of higher order ambisonic audio data. For example, a device comprising a processor and a memory may be configured to perform the techniques. The memory may be configured to store an intermediately formatted audio data generated as a result of an intermediate compression of higher order ambisonic audio data. The one or more processors may be configured to process the intermediately formatted audio data.
