RADIO WAVE MONITORING APPARATUS
A radio wave monitoring apparatus includes a television receiver which is capable of receiving a radio wave in a television broadcast frequency band and generates reception quality information, and a wireless communication device which is capable of establishing communication in an area to be monitored and a wider area than the area to be monitored and transmits the reception quality information.
Method for the locationally selective transmission of a signal by radio, method for the locationally selective reception of a signal by radio, and transmitter/receiver unit for carrying out such a method
A method is described for the locationally selective transmission of a signal by radio. Both a transmitter and a receiver are synchronized to the same time reference. The receiver receiving and demodulating, at a time that is one of the specified times of the time reference, a signal transmitted by the transmitter, if the receiver has received the signal at a time that is one of the specified times. The method includes the transmitter determining a receive location within a receive zone to which it wishes to transmit the signal in selective fashion, a position in the receive zone being a function of a position of the transmitter and a signal runtime. The method also includes the transmitter transmitting the signal; and the receiver, which is situated inside the receive zone, receives and demodulates the signal.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ASSISTING USER IN VEHICLE WITH AT LEAST ONE RADIO STATION
In order to assist a user in a vehicle with at least one radio station, at least one preference of the user is determined using preferences of pre-stored clusters of plurality of users. Each of the pre-stored clusters includes users with similar preferences related with listening to radio stations. Further, at least one radio station from one or more potential radio stations available for the user is selected based on the at least one preference. The at least one radio station is assisted to the user in the vehicle.

Radio Head Unit with Dynamically Updated Tunable Channel Listing
In one aspect, an example method includes (i) encountering, by a media playback device of a vehicle, a trigger to update a list of currently tunable radio stations; (ii) based on encountering the trigger to update the list of currently tunable radio stations, updating, by the media playback device, the list of currently tunable radio stations using a location of the vehicle and radio station contour data stored in a local database of the media playback device; and (iii) displaying, by the media playback device, a station list using the list of currently tunable radio stations.
Methods and Systems for Geolocation-Based Media Streaming
Systems and methods are provided for presenting media streams based on changes in geolocation. A MapView system may receive a first positioning signal indicating a first geographical location of a user device. The MapView system may determine a first media stream to be presented by the user device based on the first geographical location and a location of a source of the first media stream. The MapView system may then facilitate a presentation of the first media stream by the user device. When the MapView system receives a second positioning signal indicating a second geographical location of the user device, the MapView may identify, a second media stream to be presented by the user device based on the second geographical location being in broadcast range of the second media stream. The MapView system may then facilitate a presentation of the second media stream by the user device.
BROADCAST SIGNAL PLAYBACK METHOD, MAP GENERATION METHOD, AND APPARATUS
The application discloses example methods and apparatuses for map generation and for playing broadcast signals. One example map generation method includes receiving multiple pieces of first information, where each piece of the multiple pieces of first information includes a corresponding positioning location of a corresponding terminal, strength of a broadcast signal modulated at a first modulation frequency and received by the corresponding terminal at the corresponding positioning location, and the first modulation frequency. A broadcast signal strength layer is generated according to the multiple pieces of first information, where the broadcast signal strength layer represents a first coverage range corresponding to a first strength range of a broadcast signal modulated at the first modulation frequency.
Receiver of television and/or radio signals, configured to prepare access to content included in said television and/or radio signals based on the geographical location of said receiver
A receiver of radio and/or television signals, where the signals are transmitted via radio by transmitters and are received by said receiver, including: a means for receiving signals via radio that, through tuning information, is configurable for reception of content of the received radio and/or television signals; a memory means containing at least geographic transmission information, which includes geographical areas of coverage of the transmitters that transmit the signals received by the reception means, wherein the geographical transmission information is comparable with the tuning information; and a central computing unit configured to determine the geographical location of the receiver according to the geographical transmission information and the tuning information, the central computing unit also being configured to prepare access to the tuning information based on the geographical location of the receiver in order to organize access to the contents relating to the location of the receiver.
