PERFORMANCE DEGRADATION HANDLING BETWEEN RADIO ACCESS NETWORK NODES

There is provided mechanisms for performance degradation handling between a first radio access network node that operates in a first frequency band and provides network access for subscribers of a first mobile network operator and a second radio access network node that operates in a second frequency band and provides network access for subscribers of a second mobile network operator. A method is performed by the first radio access network node. The method comprises identifying performance degradation impacting the network access for the subscribers of the first mobile network operator. The performance degradation is identified as originating from a particular direction relative the first radio access network node and as caused by the second radio access network node. The method comprises providing, towards the second radio access network node, an indication of the performance degradation. The indication specifies the particular direction and identifies the second radio access network node as causing the performance degradation.

Channel quality information feedback techniques

Various embodiments are generally directed to improved channel quality information feedback techniques. In one embodiment, for example, an evolved node B (eNB) may comprise a processor circuit, a communication component for execution by the processor circuit to receive a channel quality index for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), the channel quality index associated with a defined reference resource, and a selection component for execution by the processor circuit to select a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for transmission over the PDSCH of user equipment (UE) data in one or more resource blocks, the selection component to compensate for a difference between a cell-specific reference signal (CRS) overhead of the defined reference resource and a CRS overhead of the one or more resource blocks when selecting the MCS. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Rate matching for coordinated multipoint transmission schemes

Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for determining resource elements REs used for Coordinated Multipoint (CoMP) transmission schemes. The techniques generally include determining, by a User Equipment (UE), a set of data REs used for Coordinated Multipoint (CoMP) operation. The determination is based on a CoMP scheme and data REs available to particular base stations involved in the CoMP operation. The technique further includes processing data received via the CoMP operation on the determined set of data REs.

SIDELINK PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SYNCHRONIZATION SIGNAL TRANSMISSION

Apparatus and methods for S-SSB transmission are provided. In an aspect, an S-SSS symbol is followed by a gap symbol. In another aspect, a first PSBCH symbol is followed by an S-SSS symbol. In a further aspect, the same MPR is used for the entire S-SSB, thus reducing/mitigating transient periods. For example, the S-SSS symbols in the S-SSB may be selected from a set of sequences having the same MPR as the S-PSS symbols. Alternatively, the MPR of the entire S-SSB may be selected based on a sequence ID of an S-SSS. In an aspect, additional symbols may be configured in the S-SSB to compensate for power reduction.

Wireless communication device and wireless communication method

The transmission of a reference signal, such as a CSI-RS, is enabled while maintaining a power saving effect when performing inter-cell cooperative transmission/reception or the like in a plurality of cells. In order to realize inter-cell cooperative transmission/reception, a CSI-RS which is used for estimating the state of a spatial propagation path of a communication line is generated by a CSI-RS generation unit, and the CSI-RS is disposed in a predetermined subframe by a disposition unit and transmitted. At this time, when a frame has ten subframes #0 to #9, the CSI-RS is disposed in the subframes #4 and #9, which are subframes excluding the subframes #0 and #5 incapable of transmitting a CSI-RS and are subframes other than subframes capable of acting as MBSFN subframes when discontinuous communication (Extended Cell DTX) is performed so as to achieve power saving, and transmitted.

Methods and arrangements for CSI reporting

A method in a wireless device for reporting Channel State Information (CSI). The wireless device is comprised in a wireless communications system. The method includes receiving a CSI process configuration and a request for CSI information from a network node. The method further includes reporting CSI for one or more CSI processes. The CSI reflects the state of the channel for a CSI reference resource. According to the method, the CSI reference resource is determined based on the number of configured CSI processes. Interference with another terminal caused by joint transmission of a plurality of wireless base stations is appropriately estimated. A wireless base station includes a wireless control section and a communication section. The wireless control section, when performing joint transmission with a joint wireless base station, generates a reference signal for estimating interference given to a wireless terminal connected to another wireless base station, and determines a setting regarding joint transmission in accordance with a result of estimation of interference based on the reference signal. The communication section transmits a reference signal to another wireless base station or a wireless terminal, and announces, to a joint wireless base station, a setting regarding joint transmission.
