Vehicle radar system with a shared radar and communication system
A shared radar and communications system. The system includes a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter modules signals based on a first spreading code defined at least in part by a first plurality of information bits. The first plurality of information bits encodes selected information. The transmitter transmits the modulated signals. The receiver receives a first signal and a second signal. The first signal includes the transmitted signals transmitted by the transmitter and reflected from objects in an environment. The receiver processes the first signal to detect objects in the environment. The second signal is transmitted from another system. The second signal carries a second plurality of information bits. The receiver processes the second signal to determine the second plurality of information bits. The second plurality of information bits are encoded with information selected by the other system.

Multiplexing radar beat signals
An apparatus is disclosed for multiplexing radar beat signals. In an example aspect, the apparatus includes an antenna array and a wireless transceiver jointly configured to transmit a radar transmit signal and receive two or more radar receive signals. The two or more radar receive signals represent portions of the radar transmit signal that are reflected by an object. The wireless transceiver comprises a radio-frequency integrated circuit with two or more receive chains and a multiplexing circuit. Each one of the two or more receive chains is configured to generate a radar beat signal by downconverting a respective radar receive signal of the two or more radar receive signals using the radar transmit signal. The multiplexing circuit is coupled to the two or more receive chains and is configured to multiplex the two or more radar beat signals together to generate a composite radar beat signal.

Vector signaling code with improved noise margin
Methods are described allowing a vector signaling code to encode multi-level data without the significant alphabet size increase known to cause symbol dynamic range compression and thus increased noise susceptibility. By intentionally restricting the number of codewords used, good pin efficiency may be maintained along with improved system signal-to-noise ratio.

Method and device for pilot sequence transmission
Methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for digital wireless communication, and more specifically, for the use of pilot sequences that improves performance of channel estimation. In one exemplary aspect, a method of wireless communication performed by a communication node is disclosed. The method includes determining, using a first index, a mask sequence from a plurality of pre-determined mask sequences, wherein the plurality of pre-determined mask sequences is determined based on permutations of values 1, −1, i, and −i or permutations of values 1+i, or 1−i, or −1+i, or −1−i; determining a Walsh sequence using a second index, wherein the Wash sequence has a same length as the mask sequence; generating a pilot sequence by combining the mask sequence and the Walsh sequence; and performing a wireless transmission using the pilot sequence.
