NETWORK NOTIFICATION OF A CELL TIMING SOURCE OUTAGE
Techniques are provided for informing a network of a timing source outage in a node and reestablishing a synchronized time in the node. An example method for providing a timing source outage notification includes detecting an outage of a timing source, determining one or more impacted nodes, generating one or more notification messages based at least in part on a communication context for each of the one or more impacted nodes, and transmitting the one or more notification messages.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND MEDIA FOR MODIFYING THE PRESENTATION OF CONTEXTUALLY RELEVANT DOCUMENTS IN BROWSER WINDOWS OF A BROWSING APPLICATION
Methods, systems, and media for presenting contextually relevant information are provided. In some implementations, the method includes: receiving information associated with a user of a user device from multiple data sources, where the user device comprises a display; identifying, without user intervention, a relevant document based on the received information associated with the user of the user device; determining that a new browser window or a new browser tab has been opened by a browser application being executed by the user device; and causing, without user intervention, the relevant document to be presented using the new browser window or new browser tab.
CLOCK DETERMINING METHOD AND RELATED APPARATUS
A clock determining method includes: when both a second network device and a first network device are synchronous with a reference clock, simulating, by using delay information between the second network device and the first network device and clock frequency information of the second network device, a second virtual clock synchronized with a first virtual clock, where the first virtual clock is used to simulate a clock of the first network device. A clock of the second network device can thus be simulated to perform a subsequent operation by using the simulated clock. For example, the simulated clock may be used to estimate precision time protocol (PTP) message synchronization performance of the second network device. Therefore, the PTP message synchronization performance of the second network device may be pre-determined before a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) fails, to guide network operation and maintenance activities.
TIME SYNCHRONIZATION METHOD USING 5G REFERENCE TIME DISTRIBUTION AND NETWORK ENTITY PERFORMING THE SAME
Provided are a time synchronization method using 5G reference time distribution and a network entity performing the same. The time synchronization method may include receiving, by a time sensitive communication time synchronization function (TSCTSF), a 5G reference time distribution request including time synchronization parameter values from an application function (AF); performing, by the TSCTSF, policy modification; and transmitting, by the TSCTSF, a setting of the 5G reference time distribution to the AF.
Reporting clock value of network interface controller for timing error analysis
A trigger signal provided via a pulse-per-second input port of a network interface controller is detected. In response to the trigger signal, an internal hardware clock value of the network interface controller is recorded. The recorded internal hardware clock value is reported, wherein the reported internal hardware clock value is reported for use in determining a timing error of the network interface controller based at least in part on a comparison with a time value of another device that also received the trigger signal.
Jitter buffer control, audio decoder, method and computer program
A jitter buffer control for controlling a provision of a decoded audio content on the basis of an input audio content is configured to select a frame-based time scaling or a sample-based time scaling in a signal-adaptive manner. An audio decoder uses such a jitter buffer control.
DOCSIS clock emulation in distributed access architectures
Systems and methods for implementing a software emulation of a clock calibrated by the software based on sampling a hardware clock.
Low Latency Network Device and Method for Treating Received Serial Data
A low-latency network device and method for treating serial data comprising an oscillator generating a device-wide clock; a receiving physical medium attachment (PMA) having an internal data width, a symbol timing synchronization module configured to receive the parallelized sample stream; and detect therefrom synchronized bit values corresponding to bit values of the received serial data; and a physical convergence sublayer (PCS). The PMA is configured to receive the serial data, deserialize the serial data based on the device-wide clock and internal data width, whereby the received serial data is oversampled, the oversampling of the received serial data being asynchronous relative to a timing of the received serial data, and output a parallelized sample stream. The PCS is configured to receive the synchronized bit values; and delineate packets therefrom to provide packet-delineated parallelized data. The PMA, the symbol timing synchronization module and the PCS are all driven by the device-wide clock.
Synchronizing playback by media playback devices
Example systems, apparatus, and methods receive audio information including a plurality of frames from a source device, wherein each frame of the plurality of frames includes one or more audio samples and a time stamp indicating when to play the one or more audio samples of the respective frame. In an example, the time stamp is updated for each of the plurality of frames using a time differential value determined between clock information received from the source device and clock information associated with the device. The updated time stamp is stored for each of the plurality of frames, and the audio information is output based on the plurality of frames and associated updated time stamps. A number of samples per frame to be output is adjusted based on a comparison between the updated time stamp for the frame and a predicted time value for play back of the frame.
Information transmission method and apparatus, and communication device
An information transmission method and apparatus are provided. The method comprises: a first node sends a first data packet to a second node, the first data packet carrying at least one of the following information: first identifier information, first sequence number information, and first timestamp information, wherein the first identifier information is used for instructing the second node returns a second data packet after receiving the first data packet; the first sequence number information is used for identifying the first data packet; and the first timestamp information is used for instructing the first node to send time information of the first data packet.
