A method performed by a network node comprises transmitting a transmission of system information. The transmission comprises coded bits obtained by reading from a circular buffer. The transmission is transmitted in a first set of subframes corresponding to subframes #4 of a plurality of radio frames. The method further comprises transmitting an additional transmission of the system information. The additional transmission comprises additional coded bits obtained by continuing reading from the circular buffer. The additional transmission is transmitted in a second set of subframes corresponding to subframes of the plurality of radio frames other than subframes #4.

Techniques are described for wireless communication. One method includes segmenting a payload into a plurality of code blocks; generating, for each code block, a cyclic redundancy check (CRC); encoding each code block and associated CRC in one or more codewords of a plurality of codewords; and transmitting the codewords. The encoding is based at least in part on a low density parity check code (LDPCC) encoding type. Another method includes receiving a plurality of codewords associated with a payload encoded using a LDPCC encoding type; decoding a set of the codewords associated with the first payload and a CRC; and transmitting one of an acknowledgement (ACK) or a non-acknowledgement (NAK) for the set of the codewords.

Forward error correction with outer multi-level code and inner contrast code

In data communications, a suitably designed contrast coding scheme, comprising a process of contrast encoding (108) at a transmitter end (101) and a process of contrast decoding (120) at a receiver end (103), may be used to create contrast between the bit error rates ‘BERs’ experienced by different classes of bits. Contrast coding may be used to tune the BERs experienced by different subsets of bits, relative to each other, to better match a plurality of forward error correction ‘FEC’ schemes (104, 124) used for transmission of information bits (102), which may ultimately provide a communications system (100) having a higher noise tolerance, or greater data capacity, or smaller size, or lower heat.

Provided are a data checking method and device. The method includes: receiving a transmission signal containing a first data block and transmitted by a transmission node, wherein the length of the first data block is N bits, the first data block is generated by performing an FEC encoding on a second data block which has a length of K bits, and the second data block is generated by performing a CRC encoding on a third data block which has a length of L bits, where N, K and L are all positive integers, and N≧K>L; obtaining a first estimation data block of the first data block according to the transmission signal, and obtaining a second estimation data block of the second data block according to the transmission signal; and checking the third data block according to a relationship between the first estimation data block and an FEC code space and/or a CRC check result of the second estimation data block.
