11700081 · 2023-07-11 · ·

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first device may receive one or more signals from a second device. The first device may estimate one or more metrics associated with noise of the one or more signals. The first device may transmit, to the second device and based on the estimating, a report indicating the one or more metrics. The first device may receive a message indicating a multi-level coding scheme from the second device. The multi-level coding scheme may be based on the one or more metrics and may indicate a partitioning configuration of the multi-level coding scheme for communications between the first device and the second device. The first device may communicate with the second device using the partitioning configuration of the multi-level coding scheme.

Built-in-self-test and characterization of a high speed serial link receiver

Aspects of the invention include a driver arranged at a stand-alone receiver that is configured to receive a binary sequence from a pseudorandom binary sequence (PRBS) generator arranged at the receiver. The driver is configured to adjust the signal characteristics of the binary sequence to simulate channel loss at the receiver. The driver is further configured to output the adjusted binary sequence to a downstream data path of the receiver to enable the receiver to perform a self-test.

Introduction and Detection of Erroneous Stop Condition in a Single UART

A universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter includes a transmission register to include information to be transmitted, a receive register to include information received, a frame error checking circuit to evaluate contents of the receive register for a frame error, and control logic. The control logic is to route the contents of the transmission register to the receive register. The control logic is to, during transmission of the contents of the transmission register through the reprogrammable pin to the receive register, modify a bit inversion register to yield modified contents to be provided to the receive register. The modified contents are to cause a frame error. The control logic is to determine whether the frame error checking circuit detected the frame error.

According to one embodiment, a failure detection apparatus includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry acquires a time-series signal generated by a sensor module, generates an analysis result including information concerning saturation of the time-series signal by analyzing the time-series signal, and determine a failure of the sensor module based on the analysis result.

RECEIVING APPARATUS AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A receiving apparatus includes: a receiving module that is a fixed circuit whose internal processing procedure is not able to be changed, the receiving module performing demodulation processing on a reception signal to generate a binary hard decision sequence; and an external reception controller including a receiving module controller to control the receiving module, and a redundancy decoder to redundantly decode the binary hard decision sequence output from the receiving module for conversion into a multilevel sequence, wherein the redundancy decoder redundantly decodes the binary hard decision sequence by combining values weighted based on reliability.

Transport block segmentation for multi-level codes

A wireless communication method for transmitting wireless signals from a transmitter includes dividing bits of the transport block into a number of code blocks, wherein each code block corresponds to a bit-level of a multi-level modulation scheme used for transmission, and wherein a size of each code block is inversely proportional to a corresponding coding rate used for coding the code block.
