Methods and apparatus for associating media devices with a demographic composition of a geographic area
Example methods and apparatus for associating media devices with a demographic composition of a geographic area are disclosed. Disclosed example apparatus are to obtain a plurality of Internet Protocol addresses assigned to a media device associated with a panel member. Disclosed example apparatus are also to determine a most used Internet Protocol address from the plurality of Internet Protocol addresses, determine a geographic location corresponding to the most used Internet Protocol address, associate a geographic area with the media device in response to a determination that the geographic location corresponds to a location of an internet service provider, determine a demographic profile associated with the geographic area, and associate the demographic profile with the media device.
Satellite virtual private cloud network environments
Satellite virtual private clouds (VPCs) are described. A primary VPC is executed having one or more core services hosted therein that are required by one or more satellite VPCs. A satellite VPC is executed that is logically independent of the primary VPC networked environment. A peered connection between the primary VPC and the satellite VPC is established. The peered connection permits the satellite VPC networked environment to access the at least one core service hosted in the primary VPC. A customer account may be associated with a suitable permission to perform isolated development in the satellite VPC networked environment without impacting any service hosted by the primary VPC networked environment.
Smart service discovery to interconnect clusters having overlapping IP address space
An approach to establish connections between clusters having overlapping IP address ranges. A method includes receiving, at a service discovery server, from a first node in a first cluster, a service discovery request including a unique name, determining, at the service discovery server, that the unique name resolves to a destination IP address of a second node in a second cluster, determining that the destination IP address overlaps with an IP address range associated with the first cluster, in response to determining that the destination IP address overlaps with the IP address range belonging to the first cluster, configuring a gateway to expect a network connection request from the first node that includes an IP address of the gateway, and sending a service discovery response to the first node, the service discovery response including the IP address of the gateway, but not the destination IP address.
HOST DISCOVERY AND ADDITION METHOD AND APPARATUS IN DATA CENTER, AND DEVICE AND MEDIUM
Disclosed are a host discovery and addition method and apparatus in a data center, and a device and a medium. The method includes: scanning to discover computing nodes to be added; sending, through IPv6 multicast, a discovery message to the scanned computing nodes, and receiving discovery response messages that are sent by said computing nodes through IPv6 unicast after the discovery message passes verification; when the discovery response messages pass verification and no IP address is configured for said computing nodes, sorting BMC IPs in the discovery response messages, and allocating IP addresses according to the order of the BMC IPs, such that the IP addresses that correspond to adjacent BMC IPs are consecutive; and after the IP addresses are configured, sending an addition message to said computing nodes, receiving addition response messages, and adding said computing nodes to a data center that is managed by a management node.

Data sending method and apparatus, and method and system for establishing P2P connection
This application provides techniques comprising S1: establishing a queue for accommodating m file descriptors for creating n.sub.1 first access request data packets; S2: creating an i.sup.th file descriptor in the queue, sending an i.sup.th first access request data packet by using the i.sup.th file descriptor, and monitoring a source port recorded by the i.sup.th file descriptor; S3: at every first preset time interval t.sub.1, enabling i to automatically increase by 1, continuing to perform operation S2, and setting preset monitoring time T for each source port, where T=t.sub.1*m; and S4: ending monitoring of an (i?m).sup.th source port and destroying a corresponding file descriptor while creating an i.sup.th file descriptor in the queue when m*j<i?m*(j+1), and stopping monitoring of other source ports in response to detecting that a first port receives a response data packet, where the first port is any source port in a monitored state.
Systems and methods for automatic internet protocol address management
A system and method for automatic IP address range allocation is provided. The system and method include a) storing an availability map of IP addresses including a pointer to a next available IP address range of a first size, b) receiving, from a requestor computer device, a request for an IP address range of the first size, c) selecting the next available IP address range of the first size based on the pointer, d) moving the pointer to another available IP address range of the first size, e) placing the selected IP address range of the first size in a quarantine pool, and f) transmitting, to the requestor computer device, the selected IP address range of the first size.
Method for robust communication between nodes that are adjacent at layer 3
A method for communication between nodes, where the method includes: constructing, by a first Layer 3 node, a link local control frame; adding, by the first Layer 3 node, a destination group Media Access Control (MAC) address to the link local control frame, wherein the destination group MAC address is outside a block of destination group MAC addresses assigned for Ethernet bridging purposes; and transmitting, by the first Layer 3 node, the link local control frame to a second Layer 3 node.
Information collection system, information collection method, medium, and information collection program
An information collection system includes: a side-channel information processing unit that derives load information to estimate an impact on the availability of a target machine for active scanning by using side-channel data; an allow list generation unit that generates an allow list including a scan timing and a scan range in which the availability is not affected, the allow list generation unit generating the allow list based on the load information; and an allow list storage unit that stores the allow list. An active scan of the target machine is executed by referencing the allow list stored in the allow list storage unit to collect asset information of the target machine.
Combined write enable mask and credit return field
A credit return field is used in a credit-based flow control system to indicate that one or more credits are being returned to a sending device from a receiving device. Based on the number of credits available, the sending device determines whether to send device or wait until more credits are returned. A write enable mask allows a wide data field to be used even when a smaller amount of data is to be written. A novel data packet uses a combined write enable mask and credit return field. In one mode, the field contains a write enable mask. In another mode, the field contains credit return data. If the field contains credit return data, a default value (e.g., all ones) is used for the write enable mask. The mode may be selected based on another value in the data packet.
