Information transmission method and apparatus, and communication device
Provided are an information transmission method and apparatus, and a communication device. The method comprises: a first device entity acquiring header information of an Ethernet data packet from a second device entity, wherein the header information of the Ethernet data packet comprises first indication information, and the first indication information is used for indicating whether the header information of the Ethernet data packet includes a target information domain.
USER EQUIPMENT (UE) ROUTE SELECTION POLICY (USRP) UE IN AN EVOLVED PACKET SYSTEM (EPS)
Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for provisioning an updated user equipment (UE) route selection policy URSP to a UE in an evolved packet system (EPS). In order to minimize the impact to a mobility management entity (MME), some embodiments use a protocol configuration option (PCO) or extended PCO (ePCO) to carry the URSP between a packet data network (PDN) gateway-control (PGW-C) and the UE. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Sequence number reuse for CDR transport using GTP'
Systems and methods that transport Charging Data Records (CDRs) using GTP′ for offline charging. One embodiment comprises a Charging Data Function (CDF) that communicates with a Charging Gateway Function (CGF) of an offline charging system using GTP′. The CDF assembles a GTP′ request for a transaction, assigns a sequence number for the transaction, and assigns a timestamp to the sequence number. The CDF inserts the sequence number in a GTP′ header of the GTP′ request, inserts the timestamp assigned to the sequence number in the GTP′ header of the GTP′ request, and sends the GTP′ request to the CGF.
Over the top network traffic classification
A system and method is disclosed to transform Over-The-Top (OTT) call log data collected by telecommunications network operators into a peer-to-peer log in order to determine more accurate information. In this method the IP addresses in the call log records are compared to a list of known mediator server IP addresses and the records in the log that contain mediator server IP addresses are removed from the log to create a peer-to-peer log containing only those records that contain peer IP addresses. The data in the peer-to-peer log can then be categorized with confidence to determine network performance information as well as, for example, the percentage of traffic to a particular country. Conclusions may then be inferred regarding the removed data records based upon the data found in the peer-to-peer log.
CHARGING METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM
Embodiments of this application disclose a charging method and a related product. A charging function CHF apparatus receives a first charging request sent by a charging trigger function CTF apparatus, where the first charging request carries event charging information. Then, the CHF apparatus determines a first event charging processing mode based on the event charging information, and processes the first charging request according to the first event charging processing mode. According to the method, the CHF apparatus may determine the first event charging processing mode based on the first charging request, and perform event charging processing. Therefore, charging can be accurately and efficiently performed on an event charging service.
Online charging architecture in LTE/EPC communication networks
Communication networks and methods are disclosed for performing online charging in LTE/EPC communication networks. In an LTE/EPC communication network, one or more LTE network elements connect to an Online Charging System (OCS) over an enhanced interface. The LTE network element that is serving a session for a mobile device triggers on a charging event, and generates a credit request message (e.g., Diameter CCR). The LTE network element identifies access information for the session indicating the type of access for the mobile device to the LTE/EPC communication network, and inserts the access information in the credit request message. Through the enhanced interface, the LTE network element is able to transmit the credit request message to the OCS with the access information. The access information may then be used in the OCS to determine a more accurate charging rate for the session.

Distributed architecture for determining performance parameters
System performance of a first information handling system may be adjusted based on system usage. Performance parameters may be determined by a second information handling system based on the system usage and may be used, by the first information handling system, to adjust system performance. Configuration of the first information handling system may thus be distributed to two or more tiers. The second information handling system can be more efficient with determining operating parameters for the first information handling system when the second system is not power limited, as when the first information handling system is a mobile device.
Method and apparatus for providing rule information in wireless communication system
The disclosure relates to a communication scheme and system for converging a 5.sup.th generation (5G) communication system for supporting a data rate higher than that of a 4.sup.th generation (4G) system with an Internet of things (IoT) technology. The disclosure is applicable to intelligent services (e.g., smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail, and security and safety-related services) based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology. A method for a control plane to transmit rule information to a user plane is provided. The method includes receiving PPC rule information from a PCF, identifying predetermined policy rule sets for a PDR set based on the PCC rule information, identifying rule set information corresponding to the PDR set, and transmitting the rule set information to the user plane, wherein the PDR set includes multiple pieces of PDR information.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BINDING INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
Methods, apparatus and computer program products for binding information management. A method implemented at a policy control node in a wireless communication network comprises: obtaining information indicating a collocated deployment of a session management node and a binding support node (202); and inhibiting, in response to the information, a registration of binding information to the binding support node (204). A policy control node can know that a binding support node is collocated with a session management node, and no registration of binding information to the binding support node will be triggered for the policy control node.
