RADIO ACCESS TECHNOLOGY (RAT) TYPE USAGE DIFFERENTIATION FOR DIFFERENTIAL CHARGING IN 5G NON-STANDALONE (5G NSA) ARCHITECTURE DEPLOYMENTS
A control plane function node may be used in a Fifth Generation (5G) Non-Standalone (NSA) architecture having Radio Access Network (RAN) level interworking between a Long-Term Evolution (LTE) RAN and a 5G New Radio (NR). The node obtains usage report data which are based on traffic of a user equipment (UE) via primary and secondary Radio Access Technologies (RATs). The node also obtains secondary RAT usage report data which are based on traffic of the UE via the secondary RAT. The node constructs a message which indicates a request for charging based on the usage report data and the secondary RAT usage report data. In constructing the message, the node populates, in association with a corresponding rating group and usage data of the UE, an identifier of a flow or bearer associated with secondary RAT usage, together with the secondary RAT usage report data.
NONLINEAR TRAFFIC SHAPER WITH AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTABLE COST PARAMETERS
A traffic shaping circuit regulates packets transferred by a transmission resource into a network (e.g., a network on a chip) on behalf of a client. The packet transfers are selectively enabled or disabled based on a current budget value. The budget value is modified based on a packet-transfer cost in response to transferring a packet into the network. The rate of packet transfers into the network is monitored. A cost-adjustment signal is generated based on the rate of packet transfers. The packet-transfer cost is modified in response to the cost-adjustment signal for accounting for a subsequent-packet transfer into the network. The cost-adjustment signal may indicate an increase or decrease of the packet-transfer cost and/or a budget limit, both of which are read from a cost table comprising records ordered based on respective packet-transfer cost values. The packet-transfer cost and/or a budget limit are configurable.
DATA COLLECTION SERVER, DATA UTILIZATION SERVER, EQUIPMENT, DATA CIRCULATION SYSTEM, DATA COLLECTION METHOD AND PROGRAM
A data collection server includes a communicator, a use frequency estimator, and a data saver. The communicator receives device data from a device. The use frequency estimator estimates use frequency of the device data received by the communicator. The data saver stores the device data in, among a plurality of storage servers corresponding to different levels of use frequency, one of the plurality of storage servers that corresponds to the use frequency estimated by the use frequency estimator.
Vehicle and method of platooning control therefor
A vehicle and method of platooning control therefor are provided to achieve optimum communication charge efficiency while a plurality of vehicles perform platooning. A data communication method of a platooning vehicle includes starting platooning by a plurality of vehicles and sharing data charge rate information through a first protocol for vehicle-to-vehicle communication (V2V) by the plurality of vehicles. A first master vehicle and at least one slave vehicle are determined based on the shared data charge rate information. An access point (AP) is then activated according to a second protocol for short distance communication by the first master vehicle and an AP of the master vehicle is accessed and data communication is performed by the at least one slave vehicle.
Adapting Network Policies Based on Device Service Processor Configuration
Disclosed herein are various embodiments to prevent, detect, or take action in response to the moving a device credential from one device to another, the improper configuration of a service processor, a missing service processor, or the tampering with a service processor in device-assisted services (DAS) systems.
Data collection server, data utilization server and equipment based on use frequency among a plurality of storage corresponding to different levels of use

Counter Subscription Method
Embodiments of this application disclose a service processing method and product, applied to a charging field in a network architecture for a slice instance. The policy control device sends a subscription request to a charging processing device, where the subscription request carries an identifier of a first slice instance and an identifier of user equipment. Then, the policy control device receives a subscription response returned by the charging processing device, where the subscription response includes first information of a first counter corresponding to the first slice instance and a subscription identifier.
Mobile media pause and resume
In embodiments, the present invention provides a method and system for managing playback of content delivered to a mobile device with a pause and resume functionality. The method and system including receiving delivered content on a mobile device, initiating playback of the delivered content, pausing playback of the content being delivered to the mobile device in response to an action and resuming delivery of the content upon a request.
Device, software module, system or business method for global real-time telecommunication
A telecommunication device for real-time communication at a border between a global transport network and a private domain of a communication network may include a proxy for a communication protocol, means for traffic using real-time communication protocols to traverse a firewall, means for real-time traffic initiated by the communication protocol to traverse a firewall, means for measuring and collecting value information about the real-time traffic over the global transport network, means for creating mutual trust between the telecommunication device and a second device with which it communicates; and means for authorizing usage of a feature for a mutually trusted communication participant.
