Providing composite graphical assistant interfaces for controlling various connected devices
Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for tailoring composite graphical assistant interfaces for interacting with multiple different connected devices. The composite graphical assistant interfaces can be generated proactively and/or in response to a user providing a request for an automated assistant to cause a connected device to perform a particular function. In response to the automated assistant receiving the request, the automated assistant can identify other connected devices, and other functions capable of being performed by the other connected devices. The other functions can then be mapped to various graphical control elements in order to provide a composite graphical assistant interface from which the user can interact with different connected devices. Each graphical control element can be arranged to reflect how each connected device is operating simultaneous to the presentation of the composite graphical assistant interface.

In various embodiments, one or more signals may be identified that influence, or potentially influence, a manner in which a lighting unit controller (110) controls one or more properties of light to be emitted by a lighting unit (100). In some embodiments, a user instruction may be received to alter the manner in which the one or more signals influence how the lighting unit controller (110) controls the one or more properties of light emitted by the lighting unit (100) may be received. The lighting unit controller (110) may control a manner in which light output of the lighting unit (100) is influenced by the one or more signals in accordance with the user instruction.

The server includes a communication interface for performing communication with a plurality of electronic devices and a plurality of sensing devices, and at least one processor configured to identify a sensing device corresponding to a user's location from among the plurality of sensing devices based on information received from at least one of the plurality of electronic devices and the plurality of sensing devices through the communication interface, and control the communication interface to transmit a signal for controlling a target electronic device among the plurality of electronic devices to the target electronic device based on sensing data received from the identified sensing device.

A network device is configured to (i) play back a media item indicated by a remote playback queue provided by a cloud-based computing system, (ii) receive an indication that a playback device is available for playback, (iii) display a now playing screen including (a) information identifying the media item, and (b) an icon that indicates that the network device is not in a connected state with any other network device, (iv) receive a first input selecting the icon, (v) in response to the first input, display a list of one or more available network devices including the playback device, (vi) receive a second input selecting the playback device from the list (vii) after receiving the second input, update the list to indicate that the playback device is selected for playback of the remote playback queue, and (viii) transfer playback of the remote playback queue from the network device to the playback device.
Methods and systems for generating domain-specific text summarizations
Embodiments provide methods and systems for generating domain-specific text summary. Method performed by processor includes receiving request to generate text summary of textual content from user device of user and applying pre-trained language generation model over textual content for encoding textual content into word embedding vectors. Method includes predicting current word of the text summary, by iteratively performing: generating first probability distribution of first set of words using first decoder based on word embedding vectors, generating second probability distribution of second set of words using second decoder based on word embedding vectors, and ensembling first and second probability distributions using configurable weight parameter for determining current word. First probability distribution indicates selection probability of each word being selected as current word. Method includes providing custom reward score as feedback to second decoder based on custom reward model and modifying second probability distribution of words for text summary based on feedback.

An electronic device and a method for controlling the electronic device are provided. Multimedia content is reproduced in the electronic device. After the reproduction of the multimedia content in the electronic device, a display of the electronic device is controlled to display a plurality of objects respectively indicating a plurality of external devices which is identified by the electronic device. In response to input to an object among the plurality of objects, an external device indicated by the object is authorized to continuously reproduce multimedia content.
System and method for utilization of device-independent scenes in a smart home environment
Systems and methods are provided for implementing a device-independent scene in a home automation environment. One embodiment is a method comprising receiving information regarding a home-independent home automation scene, the information identifying a zone property and an identified zone type; identifying, in the designated home, a zone corresponding to the identified zone type; identifying at least one home automation device capable of affecting the zone property in the identified zone; for each of the identified devices, identifying a device state of the respective device that contributes to the zone property; storing a home-automation scene for the designated home, wherein the home-automation scene comprises information identifying the at least one identified devices and the respective identified device states of those devices; and in response to user selection of the stored home-automation scene, causing the at least one identified device to perform the respective identified actions.
