Data routing in a customer-premises equipment using link aggregation
11570087 · 2023-01-31 · ·

The routing of data received from a first network device into a second network device, each having a link aggregation engine, includes detecting whether or not the data has already undergone a link aggregation operation in the first device or upstream, based on markers present in the data, and then selecting an output link from all the output links of the second device participating in link aggregation if the data has not already undergone link aggregation, or selecting the output link from all the output links of the second device participating in link aggregation except for the output link towards the first device if the data has already undergone link aggregation, and transmitting the data on the output link selected.

MULTICAST WAN OPTIMIZATION IN LARGE SCALE BRANCH DEPLOYMENTS USING A CENTRAL CLOUD-BASED SERVICE

Systems and methods are provided for reducing WAN bandwidth consumption used by multicast for large scale software-defined branch deployments. In particular, a cloud-based multicast orchestrator may be implemented as part of an SD-WAN service. This cloud-based multicast orchestrator may orchestrate routes for multicast traffic between a multicast source and the various branches of the large scale software-defined branch deployment. This cloud-based multicast orchestrator may orchestrate routes for multicast traffic which reduce/optimize WAN bandwidth consumption. In combination with the cloud-based multicast orchestrator, examples may utilize a branch gateway hierarchy which designates one branch gateway a “leader” for a given multicast stream to further reduce WAN bandwidth consumption used by multicast.

Data transmission method and apparatus

This application provides a data transmission method and apparatus, and relates to the field of communications technologies. The method includes: obtaining a plurality of code block streams; distributing, based on a preset multiplexing sequence, code blocks in the plurality of code block streams by slots, to form a single, interleaved code block stream from the plurality of code block streams; and segmenting and encapsulating the single, interleaved code block stream, to generate at least one frame. By utilizing time division duplexing techniques, a data transmission delay of the code block streams can be reduced.

Systems and methods for end point data communications anonymization for a communications hub

A method for end point data communications anonymization for a local communications hub is provided. The method commences with receiving a first request addressed to a server from a computing device. The method further includes selecting a first remote communications hub from a plurality of remote communications hubs. The method continues with modifying the first request to generate a first modified request and sending the first modified request to the first remote communications hub. The first remote communications hub modifies the first modified request to produce a second modified request and forwards the second modified request to the server. The method further includes receiving a first response to the second modified request from the server, modifying the received first response to produce a first modified response, modifying the first modified response to produce a second modified response, and providing the second modified response to the computing device.

Data communication in a MoCA access network

A modem configured to operate in a Multimedia over Coax Alliance, MoCA, access network is provided. The modem comprises a combiner having a coaxial interface for connection to a coaxial cable network and at least two frequency-separated southbound interfaces, SBIs; at least two MoCA chips, wherein each MoCA chip is configured to operate a MoCA access link and comprises a MoCA northbound interface, NBI, connected to one each of said SBIs of the combiner, and a data SBI; a link aggregation switch having at least two switchports connected to one each of the data SBIs, and a port to a data communication interface for connection to a client device for communication at a client data rate; wherein the MoCA chips are configured to operate separate MoCA access links at different MoCA access frequency bands over the coaxial cable network.

Relaying frames
09825691 · 2017-11-21 · ·

Frames received at a redundant port connecting a node to a communications network are identified by the frames including a sequence number associated with a source. A frame is received at the redundant port from a source. A newest sequence number of frames received from the source at the node is determined. A window of frames from the source is determined by corresponding sequence numbers. The window includes sequence numbers preceding the newest sequence number and associated with reception information of a corresponding frame at the node. The node relays the frame, when a sequence number of the received frame is within the window and the reception information indicates a first reception of the frame at the node.

Methods and systems for transmitting and receiving data packets through a bonded connection

The present invention relates to methods and systems for transmitting and receiving data packets between a first network node and a second network node through a bonded connection. At the first network node, a data packet, a session identification of the data packet and a time value of the data packet are encapsulated in an encapsulating packet. The first network node sends the encapsulating packet from the first network node to the second network node through the bonded connection. The second network node then stores the encapsulating packet after receiving it and determines an expiration time of the encapsulating packet. When the expiration time of the encapsulating packet expired, the second network node dequeues the encapsulating packet and forwards the data packet according to destination of the data packet.

System for providing access to the internet

A system for providing access to the internet, comprises a network of routers (R) hereinafter designated “new routers”) wherein each new router (R) has a CPU (112) that has, or is associated with, a public area (142) that allows simultaneous access to the new router's CPU by more than one user account. The system is so arranged that a pre-registered user with a user account identified by an identifier, typically a user name and/or password, can access the internet from any new router (R) in the network by connecting to the public area (142) of the new router's CPU (112) and entering the account identifier of the pre-registered user account.
