BLUETOOTH DEVICE AND DATA SCHEDULER
A method and device for wireless data transmission are described. A device receives sets of sensor data associated with respective sensor measurements for a vehicle. The device determines a priority for each of the sets of sensor data based on an amount of data stored for that sensor measurement in a number of data queues, and selectively stores each of the sets of sensor data in one of the data queues based on a threshold data throughput rate of a wireless network and the priority of each set of sensor data. The device transmits, to a second computing device via the wireless network, at least some of the sets of sensor data from the data queues based on a current data throughput rate of the wireless network and a priority level of each of the data queues.
DATA TRAFFIC CONTROL
As an example, a method includes storing, in non-transitory memory, prioritization rules that establish a priority preference for egress of data traffic for a first location. The first location includes a first location apparatus to control egress of data traffic for the first location apparatus and a second location apparatus at a second location, which is different from the first location, to receive data traffic and cooperate with the first apparatus to measure bandwidth with respect to the first location. The first location apparatus is coupled with the second location apparatus via at least one bidirectional network connection. The method also includes estimating capacity of the at least one network connection for the egress of data traffic with respect to the first location. The method also includes categorizing each packet in egress data traffic from the first location based on an evaluation of each packet with respect to the prioritization rules. The method also includes placing each packet in one of a plurality of egress queues associated with the at least one network connection at the first location apparatus according to the categorization of each respective packet and the estimated capacity. The method also includes sending the packets from the first location apparatus to the second location apparatus via a respective network connection according to a priority of the respective egress queue into which each packet is placed, such that the first location apparatus transmits at the estimated capacity for the egress of data traffic.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR RECEIVING AND TRANSMITTING PACKETS BASED ON PRIORITY LEVELS
The present invention discloses methods and systems for transmitting and receiving packets through a plurality of logical connections based on priority levels. When an encapsulating packets is received from a second network device via a logical network connection, priority level of a packet encapsulated in the encapsulating packet is determined, and the encapsulating packet is stored in a queue or transmitted to a host based on GSEQ, PSEQ, TSEQ, and the priority level. When a packet is received from a host via a LAN connection, the packet is retrieved from a priority queue based on the priority level a first logical network connection is selected for transmitting the packet. The packet is encapsulated in an encapsulating packet, and the payload of the encapsulating packet comprises the packet, GSEQ, TSEQ, PSEQ, and priority level of the packet. The encapsulating packet is then sent through the first logical network connection.
Multi-channel mesh nodes employing stacked responses
Rather than using a large number of transceivers (transmitter/receiver pairs) operating in parallel, Access Points with multiple channels are used to aggregate, or stack, transmitted response communications, e.g., transmitting multiple acknowledgements (ACKs) in a single packet to one or more sources of received packets. The method includes sending on a plurality of channels, by each of a plurality of respective first nodes, a communication to a second node, receiving on the plurality of channels, by the second node, the communication from each of the plurality of first nodes and sending, by the second node, a transmission that contains a response to each communication that was successfully received from each of the plurality of first nodes. The response to each of the plurality of first nodes is part of a single message sent by the second node.
Apparatus for managing data queues in a network
An apparatus for managing data queues is disclosed. The apparatus includes at least one sensor for collecting data, a data interface for receiving data from the sensor(s) and for placing the collected data in a set of data queues, and a priority sieve for organizing the set of data queues according to data priority of a specific task. The priority sieve includes a scoreboard for identifying queue priority and a system timer for synchronization.
Hierarchical quality of service scheduling method and device
Provided are an HQoS scheduling method and device. A received uplink data packet is encapsulated and stored in a queue in uplink direction, and an uplink queue scheduling component is requested to perform scheduling. In this manner, HQoS scheduling in the uplink direction is implemented, and a personalized demand of a user can be met by scheduling uplink data, to carry out more flexible function customization. According to the method and device, the data packet may be further sent to a downlink direction after the HQoS scheduling in the uplink direction is completed, and the HQoS scheduling can be performed on the data in the downlink direction, so that the HQoS scheduling is respectively performed on the data in both the uplink direction and the downlink direction; in this manner, the real bidirectional HQoS scheduling control is implemented, and QoS of the user service can be guaranteed in both directions.
DATA RESILIENCY OF BILLING INFORMATION
Managing transaction data during times of low network connectivity by organizing billing information for prioritized processing during periods of higher network connectivity. During low connectivity events, billing information is organized based, at least in part, on a combination of age and revenue to communicate important billing information upon reconnection.
Mapped FIFO buffering
A network interface device for connection between a network and a data processing system, the network interface device comprising: a plurality of ports for receiving data packets directed to the data processing system. An interface services the ports in a predetermined order and writes the data packets to buffers of a common memory. Each buffer is part of one of a set of linked logical sequence of buffers forming virtual queues in the common memory. Each virtual queue is associated with a port. A memory manager selects buffers of the common memory so as to cause the interface to populate the plurality of virtual queues with data packets.
Prioritizing data packets in a network
Data packets being communicated through a communications network can be prioritized. For example, a processor can receive a data packet via the communications network. The data packet can be formed according to a communications protocol and have a header field with an initial value. The processor can determine an updated value for the header field of the data packet based on the initial value from the header field and a user account associated with the data packet. The processor can update the header field to have the updated value. The processor can then prioritize the data packet with respect to at least one other data packet based on the updated value of the header field.
Method for operating a network
A method operates a network, wherein multiple clients are connected to a server for accessing an application that is provided or running on the server. The application is tunneled within one or more corresponding flows between the clients and the server. A device for per flow scheduling of the flows prioritizes the flows based on at least one of application characteristics, application requirements, flow characteristics or flow requirements. The prioritizing by the device takes into consideration a change or a variation, over time, of at least one of an application characteristic, an application requirement, a flow characteristic or a flow requirement.
