Method, Apparatus, and System for Joining Node to Network
Embodiments provide a method, an apparatus, and a system for joining a node to a network. The method includes: receiving an access indication that is sent by a joined node and that carries information about at least one joining node; broadcasting, according to the access indication, a MAP frame carrying the information about the at least one joining node, so that a joining node corresponding to the joining node information directly completes registration after receiving the MAP frame; and sending, by a DM, an authentication password to the joining node, so that the joining node completes authentication according to the authentication password and joins the network.
Method and apparatus for providing bidirectional communication between segments of a home network
A method for providing bidirectional communication between segments of a home network includes receiving a first communication signal at a first interface of an inter-domain bridge during a first time interval; receiving a second communication signal at a second interface of the inter-domain bridge during the first time interval; generating a superimposed signal of the first communication signal and the second communication signal; and transmitting the superimposed signal through the first interface and the second interface during a second time interval. The second time interval occurs after the first time interval.
House monitoring system
A house monitoring system includes at least one sensor that detects a predetermined event, a master device that communicates with the sensor, and is connected to a fixed telephone network so as to perform calls to other fixed telephones, and a mobile phone terminal that includes a display/input unit, performs wireless communication with the master device by using a wireless router, and is connected to other mobile phones via a mobile phone network. When the sensor detects the predetermined event, the master device transmits information regarding the sensor having detected the predetermined event to the mobile phone terminal, and the mobile phone terminal displays the information regarding the sensor having detected the predetermined event transmitted from the master device on the display/input unit.
INTEGRATION OF KNOB SENSORS IN MONITORING SYSTEMS
Techniques are described for using information from a knob sensor of an appliance in a property monitoring system. In some implementations, a monitoring system may be configured to receive sensor information from a knob, receive monitoring device information from a monitoring device and, based on the sensor information from the knob, identify a knob event. The monitoring system may integrate the knob event with the monitoring device information and analyze the integrated knob event and monitoring device information against one or more rules related to usage of the appliance in view of the state of the property. Based on analyzing the integrated knob event and monitoring device information, the monitoring system may determine whether to perform an action, such as notifying a user or activating an appliance.
NETWORK-BASED POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM
This application relates to a power consumption grading method for a network-based power supply system. The method includes: when it is detected that power overload protection is not triggered, starting a plurality of power modules of a powered device one by one in a specific order until all the plurality of power modules are started or it is detected that the power overload protection is triggered after a specific power module is started; when it is detected that the power overload protection is triggered, selecting, according to the specific order and based on the specific power module, one or more of the plurality of power modules as a power module combination of the powered device; and determining a load power of the powered device and a corresponding power consumption level based on the power module combination.

ADAPTIVE SUPERVISION SIGNALS
Systems and techniques are described for dynamically configuring and/or adjusting intervals for exchanging supervision signals between a control panel and an associated server system of a monitoring system located in a property. In some implementations, sensor data generated by one or more sensors of a monitoring system is obtained. A status of the property is determined based on the sensor data. A pinging frequency of the monitoring system is adjusted based on the status of the property. The pinging frequency specifies a frequency of communications between the server system and the control unit. The control unit is then configured to communicate with the server system according to the adjusted pinging frequency.

Real-time video delivery for connected home applications
Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to real-time video delivery for connected home (“CH”) applications. According to one aspect of the concepts and technologies, a CH controller (“CHC”) can receive a request for delivery of a video stream captured by a CH video camera to a user device. The CHC can determine availability of a wireline communications link to a wireline network and availability of a wireless communications link to a wireless network over which to deliver the video stream to the user device. In response to determining that the wireline communications link and the wireless communications link are available, the CHC can obtain a wireline performance measurement for the wireline communications link, obtain a wireless performance measurement for the wireline communications link, compare the wireline performance measurement and the wireless performance measurement, and select either the wireline communications link or the wireless communications link based upon the comparison.
