METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ADDRESS RESOLUTION
Embodiments of the invention generally relate to address resolution in a wireless communication system. The access node may locally determine, responsive to receiving a second-layer network address associated with a destination communication device from a source communication device in the wireless communication system, a first-layer network address of the destination communication device from the second-layer network address. The access node may send, responsive to the first-layer network address being unavailable, a request for the first-layer network address to an address resolution server in the wireless communication system. In this way, the time and resources for address resolution may be saved, and the efficiency of the address resolution may be improved.
ZIGBEE SYSTEM MANAGEMENT EMPLOYING A TR-069 ENABLED CPE PROXY
A ZigBee management system includes an auto configuration server (ACS) that manages customer premises equipment (CPE) through CWMP messaging and a CPE proxy that is coupled to the ACS to provide a protocol translation between the CWMP messaging and ZigBee device object (ZDO) messaging for a ZigBee device. The ZigBee management system also includes a hybrid ZigBee coordinator that is coupled to the CPE proxy and has a ZigBee protocol stack having a ZigBee MAC layer as an initial layer, a non-ZigBee physical layer that is coupled to the ZigBee protocol stack and communicates the ZDO messaging over a non-standard ZigBee interface with the CPE proxy, and a ZigBee physical layer that is coupled to the ZigBee protocol stack and the non-ZigBee physical layer and transceives the ZDO messaging for the ZigBee device over a standard ZigBee interface. A method of managing a ZigBee network is also provided.
Facility management platform for a hybrid coaxial/twisted pair local loop network service architecture
The present invention provides a facility management platform to monitor and view the status of a plurality of individually addressable downstream devices including, but not limited to, addressable terminals, IRG's, settops, cable modems, taps, nodes, and/or hubs at a network control center. The FMP may display problems at these downstream devices, for example, power loss, and/or may automatically notify the appropriate companies and/or personnel to correct the problem.

A method of managing a ZigBee network is also provided.
