Reduced-complexity internet of things sensor
A reduced-complexity Internet of Things sensor is disclosed. An example apparatus comprises memory storing one or more sensor event messages, a radio configured to determine a sensor event, a counter configured to output incremental counter states, and a control circuitry. The control circuitry may be in communication with the memory, the radio, and counter, and the sensor. The control circuitry may be configured to determine, based on the sensor event, a select sensor event message of the one or more sensor event messages. The control circuitry may be further configured to output, via the radio signal, a packet comprising the select event message and an indication of a counter state associated with the sensor event message.
Techniques for reservation preamble for low latency detection in a new radio shared spectrum communication system
Methods and apparatuses for transmitting and detecting channel reservation preamble in a NR shared spectrum are described. An aspect may include determining whether a first reservation preamble of a first operator is received on a first time slot of multiple time slots of a downlink channel from a first network entity, and transmitting a second reservation preamble of the first operator on an uplink channel to the second network entity. Another aspect may include generating a first reservation preamble of a first operator based on at least one of a compressed representation in a signal space, a basis function of the signal space, or a CAZAC sequences; and transmitting, on a first timeslot of multiple time slots of a downlink channel, the first reservation preamble of the first operator to at least a UE.

NOISE-SHAPING CREST FACTOR REDUCTION (CFR) METHODS AND DEVICES
Embodiments of a noise-shaping crest factor reduction method for a carrier signal (and a device that performs the method) include (a) clipping the carrier signal by selecting at least one carrier signal peak that has a magnitude exceeding a predetermined crest factor reduction threshold, (b) subtracting the resulting clipped signal from the carrier signal, (c) confining, by a noise shaping filter, the resulting clipping noise signal in a frequency band corresponding to that of the carrier signal, and (d) subtracting the resulting spectrally shaped clipping noise signal from a delayed version of the carrier signal. The confining process includes selecting first sub-areas of the noise shaping filter response at one or more guard bands, selecting at least one second sub-area of the noise shaping filter response elsewhere in the frequency band, and setting the first sub-areas to a first predetermined magnitude higher than the magnitude of the second sub-area.
Orthogonal multicarrier transmission system using conjugate-root Offset-QAM
In an orthogonal multicarrier radio transmission system complex-valued symbols are transmitted, wherein the real part and the imaginary part of each symbol are shifted against each other by one half symbol period and wherein a non-symmetric conjugate-root filter is applied to each symbol before transmission to mitigate inter-carrier interference and intersymbol interference. Corresponding reverse steps are performed at the receiver.
Chaotic shape-forming and matched filter-based wireless communication method
a chaotic shape-forming and corresponding matched filter-based wireless communication method is provided, and the method includes that: 1) data to be transmitted is prepared; 2) chaotic shape-forming filter is performed on a digital symbol to be transmitted to generate a baseband signal; 3) the baseband signal is transmitted and transferred by use of a radio frequency component and transmitting antenna of a conventional wireless communication system; 4) a wireless signal is received by use of a conventional receiving antenna, and down-carrier process is performed on the received signal to obtain a received baseband signal; 5) matched filter is performed on the received baseband signal; 6) wireless channel estimation and multipath interference cancellation judgment threshold calculation are performed; and 7) sampling judgment is performed on an output signal of matched filter, symbol sampling is performed on the output signal of the matched filter in Step 5), and the sampled signal is judged by use of a judgment threshold calculated in Step 6) to obtain a decoded output signal.
SINGLE CARRIER TRANSMISSION WITH ADAPTIVE ROLL-OFF FACTOR FOR ULTRA RELIABLE AND LOW LATENCY COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS
A single carrier transmission that minimizes spectral efficiency loss and reduces out of band emission by using adaptive filtering in a block where different filter parameters are used for different symbols within a block.
Pulse-shaping for high frequency radio networks
There is disclosed a method of operating a radio node in a wireless communication network. The method includes communicating utilising signaling, wherein communicating utilising signaling is based on performing pulse-shaping pertaining to the signaling. The disclosure also pertains to related devices and methods.
PEAK-TO-AVERAGE POWER RATIO (PAPR) REDUCTION TECHNIQUES
Techniques for peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction are described. Wireless devices may use one or more PAPR shaping resources, such as expanded bandwidth and/or pulse-shaping filtering, for shaping a signal to reduce PAPR. For example, expanded bandwidth may be utilized for adding a cyclic affix (CA), such as may comprise a cyclic prefix (CP), cyclic suffix (CS), etc., and combinations thereof, to a frequency domain data signal to provide a CP augmented frequency domain data signal used to generate a reduced PAPR time domain data signal. Additionally or alternatively, pulse-shaping filtering may be applied to a frequency domain signal to provide a pulse-shaped frequency domain data signal used to generate a reduced PAPR time domain data signal. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.
