METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ADVANCED OFDM TRIGGERING TECHNIQUES
20230053016 · 2023-02-16 ·

Systems and methods for a non-data-aided (NDA) approach to advanced OFDM timing are provided. This approach allows for accurate OFDM symbol timing and synchronization by avoiding inter-symbol interference (ISI) in multipath environments where an earliest arriving signal may not be the strongest signal. The NDA approach may rely on generating and applying a bias correction to a combined correlation result of the multi-path signals.

Embodiments of the disclosure provide a method and device for performing communication. The method comprises: determining a target transmission pattern from a set of candidate transmission patterns, wherein each of the candidate transmission patterns contains a DL transmission part and/or a UL transmission part, and the candidate transmission patterns differ from one another in terms of time durations of the respective DL transmission parts and/or the UL transmission parts; and performing communication between a network device and a terminal device by using the target transmission pattern.

Fast feedback techniques for high frequency bands in wireless communications systems

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for a base station to transmit a feedback configuration to a user equipment (UE) indicating a subcarrier spacing and a length of a cyclic prefix (CP) that the UE is to use to transmit feedback associated with a second frequency band (e.g., a high frequency band) using a first frequency band (e.g., a low frequency band). The UE may monitor the second frequency band for downlink messages transmitted by the base station and transmit a feedback message accordingly using the indicated subcarrier spacing and applying a CP having the indicated length.

The method includes: determining a sending mechanism of an uplink transmission according to an uplink transmit mode in the case of multiple carriers; and sending the uplink transmission according to the sending mechanism.

Non-orthogonal design for channel state information reference signals for a 5G air interface or other next generation network interfaces

Channel state information reference signal transmission can be used to estimate channel state information. Although resources needed for channel state information reference signals can be small, when multiple bandwidths are deployed within the same orthogonal frequency division multiplexing bandwidth, estimating the channel state information can comprise a channel state information reference signal resource grid for every bandwidth. Therefore, time-frequency resources for channel state information reference signals can be high and occupy a lot of bandwidth, thereby reducing the number of resources for data transmission. Therefore, a non-orthogonal design for channel state information reference signals for a 5G air interface can mitigate bandwidth loss in a 5G network.

The present invention discloses an information transmission method, a device, and a system, and relates to the communications field, so as to resolve a problem that a receiving device has excessively large power consumption because the receiving device needs to continuously perform blind detection on a channel to determine a moment at which data transmission is started. A specific solution is: obtaining, by a network device, a start location of a first subframe, configuring a first field in downlink control information DCI of a second subframe, and sending, to user equipment, the first subframe and the second subframe that are adjacent to each other, where the first field is used to indicate the start location of the first subframe. The present invention is used for information transmission.

User terminal and radio communication method

The present invention is designed to suitably reduce the degradation of spectral efficiency even when communication is performed using a waveform of a single-carrier transmission scheme. According to one aspect of the present invention, a user terminal has a receiving section that receives a downlink control signal, which schedules transmission of a data signal in accordance with a waveform that is based on a single-carrier transmission scheme, and a transmission section that transmits a sounding reference signal, which is different from an uplink sounding reference signal used in existing LTE and which has a wider transmission bandwidth than the data signal, by using the waveform based on the single-carrier transmission scheme.

DETECTING SOUNDING SEQUENCES IN PACKET EXTENSIONS
20180011179 · 2018-01-11 ·

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for detecting a presence of long training fields (LTFs) in packet extensions of high-efficiency (HE) packets. An apparatus requests a length of packet extensions to be used for a ranging operation. The apparatus receives an HE packet including a packet extension containing a selected number of LTFs based at least in part on the requested packet extension length. The apparatus performs the ranging operation based on a determination that the packet extension contains LTFs. In some aspects, the apparatus detects a presence of LTFs in the packet extension based on a bit provided in the HE packet. In some other aspects, the apparatus detects a presence of LTFs in the packet extension by extracting sequences from the packet extension.
