Time sequenced spectral stitching
Methods and systems are disclosed for using a single receiving device, such as a single VSA, to capture and digitize multiple time-domain acquisitions of a repeating signal at different center frequencies, to create a single time-domain waveform having a bandwidth greater than the real-time instantaneous bandwidth of the receiving device. Specifically, one or more signal processing paths may process the multiple digitized acquisitions of the repeating signal, either sequentially or in parallel, such that the processed acquisitions may be aggregated into a representation of one or more repetitions of the repeating signal.
System and method for transmitting data with useful signal detection at the receiver end
The present disclosure teaches methods for digitally transmitting data. An example method may include: receiving a modulated signal containing at least one useful signal or noise or interference signals; repeatedly estimating at least one parameter of the received signal relevant to the demodulation of the useful signal; monitoring changes in the repeatedly estimated parameters; and detecting a useful signal based at least in part on whether one or more changes in the repeatedly estimated parameters satisfy at least one particular, predefined condition.
Method and device for symbol decision and digital receiver
A symbol decision method includes: storing a look-up table (LUT) to a symbol decision circuit; receiving a first signal, and generating a coordinate signal set corresponding to the first signal according to the first signal, wherein the coordinate signal set is located in a first decision region; and reading the LUT according to the coordinate signal set to output a first symbol corresponding to the first signal, wherein the first symbol is a first constellation point corresponding to the first decision region.
RF receiver with frequency tracking
A robust frequency drift tracking receiver. The received signal is translated to an intermediate frequency in the RF stage by a quadrature demodulator, and is then brought into the base band by a digital mixer made by a CORDIC. A base band processing stage allows for a synchronization of the receiver relative to the data frame, to estimate data and to output a counter-reaction signal to the CORDIC, obtained by integration of successive frequency corrections, with a predetermined step.
PHASE AMBIGUITY PROCESSING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR QUADRATURE AMPLITUDE MODULATION SIGNAL
A phase ambiguity processing method and device are provided. The phase ambiguity processing method includes: deciding symbols on a Y polarization state and an X polarization state of a received signal, and mapping to obtain first bit information, where the received signal includes a plurality of first signals; checking and analyzing the first bit information to generate a first check result; judging the first check result to obtain a judgment result as to whether the received signal has phase ambiguity; acquiring at least one of the plurality of first signals in the received signal when the judgment result indicates that the received signal has phase ambiguity; performing phase rotation on the first signal to obtain a second signal; and checking and analyzing the second signal, storing the second signal so that the first signal is replaced with the second signal for decoding processing if a check result is normal.
Spectral stitching method to increase instantaneous bandwidth in vector signal analyzers
Various embodiments are described of devices and associated methods for processing a signal using a plurality of vector signal analyzers (VSAs). An input signal may be split and provided to a plurality of VSAs, each of which may process a respective frequency band of the signal, where the respective frequency bands have regions of overlap. Each VSA may adjust the gain and phase of its respective signal such that continuity of phase and magnitude is preserved through the regions of overlap. The correction of gain and phase may be accomplished by a complex multiply with a complex calibration constant. A complex calibration constant may be determined for each VSA by comparing the gain and phase of one or more calibration tones generated with each region of overlap, as measured by each of the VSAs.
