METHOD OF TRAFFIC FLOW MANAGEMENT IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM WITH STREAM CLASSIFICATION SERVICE, AND ASSOCIATED APPARATUS
20230047109 · 2023-02-16 · ·

A method of traffic flow management with stream classification service (SCS) and associated apparatus are provided, where the wireless communications system may include a first device and a second device. The method may include: carrying and sending a first descriptor element in a first request frame, requesting for a SCS stream from the first device, wherein the first descriptor element is related to the SCS, wherein the first request frame includes a first indication, indicating whether the second device agrees that the SCS stream and any other stream from the first device to the second device share a same traffic identifier (TID).

Techniques for extending a cellular quality of service bearer through an enterprise fabric

Techniques are described for extending a cellular quality of service bearer through an enterprise fabric network. In one example, a method obtaining, by a first switch of a network, a packet to be delivered to a client connected to the network via a cellular access point; identifying quality of service (QoS) bearer information associated with the packet, wherein the QoS bearer information is associated with a radio access bearer for the client and the QoS bearer information comprises a bearer indicator and a QoS class identifier; providing a fabric tunnel encapsulation for the packet, wherein the bearer indicator and the QoS class identifier are included within the fabric tunnel encapsulation of the packet; and forwarding the packet within the fabric tunnel encapsulation toward a second switch of the network via a fabric tunnel, wherein the cellular access point is connected to the network via the second switch.

Enhanced network with data flow differentiation

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving information about a data flow for radio communication between the radio access network and user equipment, classifying the data flow as one of a large data flow and a small data flow, adjusting priority of the data flow by reducing relative priority of the data flow responsive to classifying the data flow as a large data flow, and communicating data including the data flow between the radio access network and the user equipment according to the adjusted priority. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Learning technique for QoS based classification and prioritization of SAAS applications

The systems and methods of the present disclosure are directed towards a dynamic system that is configured to identify and map networked traffic, such as that of video, voice, file transfer, and web based applications to predetermined Quality of Service (QoS) classes. The different QoS classes can be associated with different traffic priorities. The networked traffic can be encrypted, which can prevent an intermediate device from processing or otherwise reading the packet headers of the traffic. The systems and methods of the present disclosure can predict QoS classes for encrypted traffic based on traffic patterns and other characteristics of the encrypted traffic.

Prioritized message routing

Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for routing messages in a network. Gateways may be selectively chosen to forward messages from a user device to a network server. Gateways may forward messages based on forwarding priorities for the user device. The forwarding priorities may, for example, indicate a repeat count threshold for a quantity of times the gateway may receive a message from a particular user device before the gateway forwards the message.
