RADIO NETWORK NODE, USER EQUIPMENT (UE) AND METHODS PERFORMED THEREIN
Embodiments herein relate to for example a method performed by a radio network node for handling a communication of a user equipment, UE, in a wireless communication network. The radio network node transmits a handover command for handing over the UE, from a source cell to a target cell, wherein a security parameter for encrypting data communicated between the radio network node and the UE is retained during the handover. Furthermore, the radio network node maintains a sequence number status for reception and/or transmission of a signalling radio bearer of the UE during the handover from the source cell to the target cell, and/or at a fallback from the target cell to the source cell, when the UE triggers the fallback to the source cell.
Discarding radio link control service data units
Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for discarding radio link control service data units. One method (700) includes sending (702) at least a portion of a radio link control service data unit. The method (700) includes receiving (704) an indication from a packet data convergence protocol layer to discard the radio link control service data unit after sending at least the portion of the radio link control service data unit. The method (700) includes, in response to receiving the indication to discard the radio link control service data unit, transmitting (706) information indicating to discard the radio link control service data unit.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING DATA UNIT BY USER EQUIPMENT IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a method of transmitting data units by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. Especially, the method includes the steps of transmitting at least first one data unit in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) CONNECTED state with a sequence number for the RRC CONNECTED state; receiving a RRC INACTIVE transition command with an initial sequence number for data transmission in a RRC INACTIVE state; setting a sequence number for the RRC INACTIVE state as the initial sequence number; and transmitting at least one second data unit in the RRC INACTIVE state with the sequence number for the RRC INACTIVE state, wherein the sequence number for the RRC INACTIVE state is incremented by 1 for every second data unit.

Multicast Transmission Method and Related Apparatus
This application discloses a multicast transmission method. The multicast transmission method includes: a first network device receives a first data packet and first indication information, where the first indication information indicates a sequence of the first data packet in at least one data packet; the first network device sets a sequence number of a first protocol layer of the first data packet based on the first indication information; and the first network device sends the first data packet to a terminal device. In this way, all data packets received by the terminal device include corresponding sequence numbers of the first protocol layers.
Efficient protection for a virtual private network
Techniques are described to provide efficient protection for a virtual private network. In one example, a method is provided that includes obtaining a packet at a first network entity; determining that the packet is a packet type of an authentication type; determining whether authentication content for the packet matches known good criteria for the packet type of the authentication type; based on determining that the authentication content for the packet does not match the known good criteria, performing at least one of dropping the packet and generating an alarm; and based on determining that the authentication content for the packet does match the known good criteria, processing the packet at the first network entity or forwarding the packet toward a second network entity.

Variable link aggregation
A system and method to transmit frames from a first node to a second node over a plurality of radio links comprising a classifier to classify said frames according to one of a plurality of flow and a sequence number within said one of said plurality of flow and adding said flow and sequence number in a header of said classified frame a splitter receiving said classified frames from said classifier and distributing said classified frames on one of said plurality of radio links for transmission to said second node, a joiner receiving said classified frames and reordering them using an indexed sequence queue corresponding to each of said plurality of flows, a timer for waiting for frames missing in the sequence in one of said indexed sequence queue, wherein when said timer expires, if said frame has not arrived it is deemed lost and a forwarder to extract frames from said sequence queue to forward.
