Techniques for selecting RSMA spreading code for periodic traffic in internet-of-everything devices

Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques to reduce overhead and improve resource management by efficiently selecting RSMA spreading code for periodic traffic in IoE devices. For example, in accordance with one technique, the IoE device, during an initial access to the base station, may notify the base station of the traffic periodicity of the IoE device such that the base station may assign a spreading code from a dedicated pool that is not utilized during the periodic access of the device. Additionally or alternatively, another technique to reduce overhead and improve resource management may include the IoE devices broadcasting the selected RSMA spreading code that the IoE devices intends to use in discovery broadcasts (DBs) along with the IoE device traffic periodicity such that the IoE devices may autonomously manage selection of RSMA spreading code that avoids collisions for the same traffic periodicity.

In a multiuser (MU) multiple antenna system (MAS), a central processing unit is communicatively coupled to multiple distributed wireless terminals (WTs) via a network. The central processing unit processes channel measurements indicative of channel conditions between the multiple distributed WTs and a plurality of user devices and selects a plurality of WTs from the multiple distributed WTs to enhance channel space diversity within the MU-MAS. The central processing unit calculates (Multiple Input, Multiple Output) MIMO weights from the channel measurements for precoding a plurality of data streams that are transmitted concurrently from the plurality of WTs to the plurality of users, wherein the MIMO weights provide for a plurality of independent MIMO channels.

ORTHOGONAL TRAINING SIGNALS FOR TRANSMISSION IN AN ANTENNA ARRAY

A method and apparatus for generation of orthogonal training signals for transmission in an antenna array are described. In this embodiment, a set of P training signals is generated. The generation of the P training signals includes generating a first set of Zadoff-Chu sequences, where the first set of sequences is based on a first reference Zadoff-Chu sequence and first subsequent Zadoff-Chu sequences, where each one of the first subsequent Zadoff-Chu sequences is a cyclic shift of the first reference Zadoff-Chu sequence. A second set of sequences is generated based on a second reference sequence and second subsequent sequences that are cyclic shift of the second reference sequence. The P training signals are determined based on the first set of sequences and the second set of sequences. The training signals are then transmitted through a plurality of transmit paths of a base station towards a wireless network.

Peak-to-average-power reduction for OFDM multiple access

An Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) transmitter generates OFDM multiple-access signals with low Peak-to-Average-Power Ratio (PAPR). A code-division multiplexer arranges original data symbols from different data streams inside each length-N symbol block, which is spread by a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) spreader. The arrangement of the original data symbols configures the DFT spreader to spread each original data symbol into a predetermined spread-DFT code division multiple access channel. The resulting DFT-spread data symbols are mapped to OFDM subcarriers, and an inverse discrete Fourier transform (IDFT) operates on the DFT-spread data symbols to generate an OFDM transmission signal having low PAPR.

A method includes receiving an input via a processor of the computing device. The input corresponds to data to be transmitted. The method further includes encoding the data to generate spreading codes corresponding at least in part to the data. The method further includes mapping the spreading codes to one or more frequency subcarriers of a plurality of frequency subcarriers, generating a transmit signal based at least in part on the one or more frequency subcarriers, and transmitting the transmit signal via an electrode capacitively coupled to a physical body. The transmit signal is transmitted from the electrode through the physical body.

Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource configuration, the SRS resource configuration indicating at least a comb pattern for at least one SRS resource allocated to the UE and a puncturing unit for the comb pattern, wherein the comb pattern is divided into one or more puncturing units, wherein each puncturing unit comprises one or more time units of the comb pattern, and wherein each of the one or more time units comprises two or more symbols, and refrains from transmitting all SRS transmissions of the at least one SRS resource within a first puncturing unit of the one or more puncturing units based on a determination that one or more SRS transmissions of the at least one SRS resource within the first puncturing unit are to be dropped.

Methods and apparatuses for transmitting a reference signal

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and apparatus of transmitting a reference signal and a method and apparatus of receiving a reference signal. In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the method of transmitting a reference comprises receiving a reference signal configuration indication, wherein reference signal resources are divided into at least two reference signal groups, and the reference signal configuration indication indicates a reference signal configuration including a reference signal group configuration; and transmitting the reference signal using a reference signal sequence in a reference signal group as indicated by the reference signal group configuration, wherein the reference signal sequence can be multiplexed with another layer or another user in different reference signal groups. With embodiments of the present disclosure, reference signals for different layers or users can be multiplexed in different reference signal groups and thus, more mu-users with unequal allocated bandwidths can be supported without significant channel estimation loss and Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) loss.

System and method for generalized multi-carrier frequency division multiplexing

A method for operating a device includes determining adaptation criteria for a waveform to be transmitted by a transmitting device over a communications channel towards a receiving device, and adjusting a generalized multi-carrier multiplexing parameter (GMMP) of the waveform in accordance with the adaptation criteria. The method also includes transmitting an indicator of the adjusted GMMP to at least one of the transmitting device and the receiving device.

Methods and apparatuses for transmitting and detecting channel reservation preamble in a NR shared spectrum are described. An aspect may include determining whether a first reservation preamble of a first operator is received on a first time slot of multiple time slots of a downlink channel from a first network entity, and transmitting a second reservation preamble of the first operator on an uplink channel to the second network entity. Another aspect may include generating a first reservation preamble of a first operator based on at least one of a compressed representation in a signal space, a basis function of the signal space, or a CAZAC sequences; and transmitting, on a first timeslot of multiple time slots of a downlink channel, the first reservation preamble of the first operator to at least a UE.
