System and Method for Carrier Aggregation for Wireless Local Area Networks
20180007579 · 2018-01-04 ·

Embodiments are provided herein for improving carrier aggregation for wireless networks. A plurality of bandwidth channels are assigned to a basic service set (BSS) for transmissions. Specifically, the bandwidth channels are divided into multiple channel segments corresponding to multiple primary or alternate primary channels. A channel segment possibly further includes one or more additional secondary channels. The locations of the primary or alternate primary channels that correspond to the channel segments of the BSS are then broadcasted in the network. When a station or AP receives this BSS information, it searches for an available primary or alternate primary channel of the BSS to begin transmission. Upon detecting an available primary channel or alternate primary channel that is not used for another transmission, the station or AP transmits data on the channel segment corresponding to the detected primary or alternate primary channel.

RESOURCE ALLOCATION FOR CLIENTS OF MULTIPLE CO-HOSTED VAPS
20230095005 · 2023-03-30 ·

Implementations of the present disclosure relate to resource allocation for clients of multiple co-hosted virtual access points (VAPs). A method comprises determining, by an access point (AP), a plurality of trigger frames for a plurality of clients connected to a plurality of VAPs of the AP based at least in part on respective workload levels of the plurality of clients. A trigger frame indicates a resource unit of one of the plurality of VAPs available for at least one corresponding client to access to the VAP. The method also comprises transmitting, by the AP, the plurality of trigger frames in parallel to the plurality of clients. By transmitting separate trigger frames for different clients in parallel, the efficiency of trigger frames can be improved and higher quality of service and lower collision will be provided.

Additional Reference Signals for UEs in Non-Connected States

Embodiments include methods, performed by a user equipment (UE), for receiving reference signals (RS) in a wireless network. Such methods include receiving, from a network node in the wireless network, a configuration for connected-state RS transmitted by the network node. In some embodiments, the connected-state RS can be periodic channel state information RS (CSI-RS) or periodic tracking RS (TRS). Such methods include, while the UE is in a non-connected state and based on the received configuration, determining that the connected-state RS are available during one or more first occasions. Such methods include, while the UE is in the non-connected state, selectively receiving the connected-state RS during the first occasions. Other embodiments include complementary methods performed by a network node, as well as UEs and network nodes configured to perform such methods.

Preamble and scheduling request transmitting method and device

It is determined whether a first first resource among at least one first resource used for sending a random access preamble overlaps a first second resource among at least one second resource used for sending a first scheduling request on a predetermined time unit; if the resources overlap, the preamble is sent by means of a first resource that does not overlap with a second resource, and the first scheduling request is sent by means of a second resource that does not overlap with a first resource.

NETWORK CONTROL METHOD AND CHIP
20230104825 · 2023-04-06 ·

A network control method is configured to control the transfer to stations connected to an access point or a router under an orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) method. The network control method includes: obtaining first specification parameters of the stations; grouping the stations into a first group and a second group according to the first specification parameters; transferring with the stations belonging to the first group during a first period; and transferring with the stations belonging to the second group during a second period. The first period is different from the second period.

Paging procedures using an enhanced control channel

Methods are disclosed for supporting transmission of broadcast messages using multiple types of control channels. An example method begins with receiving (1110) a message from each of several user terminals, each message indicating whether the corresponding user terminal supports the receipt of broadcast messages via the second control channel type. In some embodiments, one or more of these messages may indicate that the corresponding user terminal monitors only the second control channel type for broadcast messages. The control node subsequently initiates (1120) a transmission of a broadcast message to one of the user terminals from one or more base stations in a tracking area for the user terminal. This initiation includes indicating to the one or more base stations whether user terminal supports the receipt of broadcast messages via the second control channel type, based on information earlier received by the control node.

The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. A method of a UE is provided. The method includes receiving, from a base station, first information of a timer associated with bandwidth part (BWP) inactivity; receiving, from the base station, physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) on an active BWP associated with a serving cell; identifying whether there is ongoing random access procedure associated with the serving cell; and starting or re-starting the timer in response to identifying that there is no ongoing random access procedure associated with the serving cell.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HIGHLY DETERMINISTIC MEDIA ACCESS CONTROL
20170251467 · 2017-08-31 ·

A system and method for providing media access control for networked nodes over a plurality of channels. Each channel is divided into a number of time slots per frame of data organized in a channel allocation schedule. The number of time slots is selected for each channel and is greater than or equal to one per second. Each time slot has a slot transfer rate equal to or less than the maximum channel transfer rate. A server receives a request for channel resources that includes a bandwidth requirement. At least one time slot in a channel corresponding to the bandwidth requirement over a frame time is identified and sent to the requesting node.
