CALL FLOW SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USE IN A LEGACY TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method of operating a network server, such as a mobile application gateway, connect devices on a cellular or carrier network with individual networks, such as enterprise voice and data networks or residential networks. The effects of the present invention are far reaching in terms of transferring effective call control from the cellular network into the control of the individual network, such as the enterprise, and enabling new business models for the purchase of cellular service from a public cellular carrier by an enterprise.
ENTERPRISE CLIENT-SERVER SYSTEM AND METHODS OF PROVIDING WEB APPLICATION SUPPORT THROUGH DISTRIBUTED EMULATION OF WEBSOCKET COMMUNICATIONS
A request to establish a bi-directional full-duplex network connection is received. The request conforms to a half-duplex network connection protocol and the half-duplex connection protocol is a HTTP based protocol. The request is processed to determine a decision on whether to allow the bi-directional full-duplex connection. In the event the decision is to allow the bi-directional full-duplex connection, the bi-directional full-duplex network connection is established using the half-duplex network connection protocol. The bi-directional full-duplex connection utilizes a WebSocket communication protocol. Establishing the bi-directional full-duplex connection utilizes a plurality of half duplex connections. A confirmation that the bi-directional full-duplex network connection has been established is provided.
SERVICE PROCESSING METHOD, PCRF, AND SERVICE PROCESSING SYSTEM
Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a service processing method, a PCRF, and a system. The method performed by the PCRF includes: obtaining service information of a service, where the service information includes a service identity; obtaining, according to user information and the service information, information indicating that the service requires QoS guarantee, and service chain information; when determining, according to the service chain information, that a network resource occupied by the service may be changed, sending the service identity and the information indicating that the service requires the QoS guarantee to a value-added service processor; receiving target service information, returned by the value-added service processor, of the service corresponding to the service identity; generating a first control policy according to the target service information; and sending the first control policy to a PCEF, so that the PCEF reserves a first network resource according to the first control policy.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENABLING VPN-LESS SESSION SETUP FOR CONNECTING MOBILE DATA DEVICES TO AN ENTERPRISE DATA NETWORK
A mobile application gateway configured to interconnect mobile communication devices on a cellular network with an enterprise network is provided. The mobile application gateway includes a voice and data signaling gateway configured to provide routing functionalities, service functionalities and admission control. A gateway GPRS support node (GGSN) is configured to establish a secure data session between one or more of the mobile communication devices and the enterprise network by establishing a GPRS tunneling protocol (GTP) tunnel between a carrier-hosted serving GPRS support node (SGSN) and the GGSN.
COMMUNICATION USING VIRTUAL NUMBERS
Examples disclosed herein involve receiving a request from a calling device to establish a communication session between a mobile device and the calling device, the mobile device assigned a virtual telephone number, retrieving location information corresponding to a location of the mobile device from a location register, and sending a redirect to a session border controller (SBC) to establish the communication session between the calling device and the mobile device based on the location information.
CACHING AND DELIVERING MEDIA CONTENT FROM MULTIPLE STREAMING PROVIDERS
In a system and method for distribution of media content, a cable provider gateway cooperates with a broker API, one or more streaming provider gateways, and one or more streaming applications to locally cache and display media content from the streaming provider gateways even when the streaming applications do not have connectivity to their gateways.
Anonymous contact tracing with network based hyperlocal authentication
A Network Based Hyperlocal Authentication (NBHA) system and method for anonymous contact tracing is described. The NBHA system and method operates as a background process, which is passwordless and continuously authenticates and performs cryptographic operations to secure communications between a wireless client device and a remote network component. A gateway includes a short-range wireless transmitter that transmits authentication credentials to the wireless client device having a short-range wireless receiver. The wireless client device uses the authentication credentials to authenticate to the remote network component. The network component then generates an exclusive local key for the wireless client device that is transmitted by the gateway. The client device application then requests cryptographic material from the remote network component. The client device application encrypts and decrypts communications to the network component with the cryptographic material and the exclusive local key. The wireless client device encrypts contact tracing data with the shared secret.
Apparatus and Method For Obtaining Emergency Data Related To Emergency Sessions
A disclosed method of operation includes detecting emergency call data from an emergency call data feed to an emergency network; obtaining the emergency call data from the emergency network over a network connection; and providing emergency data to the emergency network over the network connection based on device identifiers contained in the emergency call data.
Obtaining services through a local network
One or more endpoints may be registered with a gateway at a premises. The gateway may include local physical interfaces for communicating with a first subset of the endpoints. The gateway may further include Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) proxy servers for communicating with a second subset of the endpoints. Incoming communications to the premises may be routed by the gateway to one or more of the endpoints via the local physical interfaces or the SIP proxy servers. One or more endpoints may initiate outgoing communications via the local physical interfaces or the SIP proxy servers.
Emergency data gateway device
A gateway device includes a call handling equipment (CHE) listener interface, an Internet Protocol (IP) interface, a provisioning engine, and a message parsing engine. The CPE listener interface forms a communication channel with a CHE and receives call event data from the CHE. The IP interface communicates with a cloud-based processing system. The provisioning engine receives, from the cloud-based processing system via the IP interface, instructions for parsing data from a data output format of the CHE into a consistent data format of the cloud-based processing system. The message parsing engine parses the call event data received from the CHE via the CHE listener interface, and formats the call event data according to the consistent data format. The gateway device transmits the formatted call event data to the cloud-based processing system via the IP interface.
