The method includes establishing the video conference comprising each respective confirmed participant and the second user, receiving respective data as part of the focus group from each respective confirmed participant and presenting live data associated with the video conference of the focus group to the first user at a user device. The present disclosure describes techniques for facilitating a collaborative work environment. The techniques comprise receiving a request from a first client computing device associated with a first user in the plurality of users to establish a communication with a second user in the plurality of users, the request specifying information associated with the communication; generating and transmitting data to a second client computing device associated with the second user for display of a user interface on the second client computing device, wherein the user interface indicates an invite of communication from the first user, and the user interface comprises information about the first user, the information associated with the communication, and selectable interface elements for accepting or declining the invite; and in response to receiving an indication of acceptance by the second user, establishing a communication channel between the first user and the second user.

WEIGHTED DATA CENTER RESELECTION
An initial data center is selected to host the online conference. This data center can be selected based on the locations of the participants, a weighting (or ‘priority’) of the participants, or a combination of the two (e.g., locations that are weighted by the participant's priority.) Typically, the data center closest to the centroid (i.e., geometric center, or ‘center of mass’) of the participants is selected. In anticipation that participants will join and/or leaver the conference, a list is calculated that each possible change to a respective data center that will be selected if that change occurs. This list may be distributed to the data centers that, if selected, would host the online conference.
Systems and methods for ephemeral streaming spaces
Systems and methods for providing ephemeral streaming spaces may include (1) providing a user with a digital display of video cards, in which each video card within the digital display corresponds to a contact, of the user, designated as currently available for video conferencing, (2) receiving user input selecting a video card from the digital display, and (3) in response to receiving the user input, initiating a video conference between the user and a contact corresponding to the selected video card.
