Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to creating and administering artificial reality collaborative working environments and providing interaction modes for them. An XR work system can provide and control such artificial reality collaborative working environments to enable, for example, A) links between real-world surfaces and XR surfaces; B) links between multiple real-world areas to XR areas with dedicated functionality; C) maintaining access, while inside the artificial reality working environment, to real-world work tools such as the user's computer screen and keyboard; D) various hand and controller modes for different interaction and collaboration modalities; E) use-based, multi-desk collaborative room configurations; and F) context-based auto population of users and content items into the artificial reality working environment.
Virtual Conferencing System with Layered Conversations
A virtual communication system including logic for supporting layered conversations, the system comprising: at least two computers communicating to one another over a communications medium, where each computer represents a User, each computer including a display, audio input, audio output, video input (such as a camera), memory, data storage, and a processor, a knowledge base stored in memory, the knowledgebase containing an identifier identifying each conversation associated with a given user, the knowledgebase storing information identifying each participant in each of the conversations, the knowledgebase storing information identifying the type of each conversation associated with the given one of the at least two computers, where each User may participate in multiple simultaneous conversations; and layered conversation logic executed by the processor, the layered conversation logic controlling a volume and a visual layout of each participant in each conversation in which the User participates in accordance with the conversation type.
Conference queue auto arrange for inclusion
A method and system for automatically adjusting a participation queue among multiple participants of a communication session are disclosed, comprising adding contribution requests to speak or share content in the communication session to the participation queue, calculating a participation metric for each of the multiple participants, determining an order of entries in the participation queue based on a comparison of the participation metrics of the respective participants in the participation queue to a determined participation metric threshold, to increase a priority of an entry of a respective participant having a calculated participation metric below the determined participation metric threshold.
Video Conference Virtual Whiteboard
A computing system and method that can be used for a video conferencing system including a graphical user interface having a virtual whiteboard user interface that is responsive to inputs from multiple attendees of a video conference. In particular, the state of an application tool such as a camera, visual note indicator, web link, pen/pencil tool, highlighter tool, or other application tool executing or otherwise represented within the multi-user interaction whiteboard can respond and change in real-time as multiple attendees of the video conference interact with the virtual whiteboard user interface. The systems and methods of the present disclosure allow for a multi-user interaction whiteboard to offer various tools for the video conferencing system to facilitate interactions by multiple attendees within the graphical user interface.
VIDEO-BASED PHYSIOLOGICAL SENSING INTEGRATED INTO VIRTUAL CONFERENCES
Systems and methods for providing a user characteristic to a service provider for a virtual conference with a user are provided. In particular, a computing device may collect raw media data associated with the user during the virtual conference between the user and the service provider. During the virtual conference, the computing device may perform a first processing of the raw media data to extract intermediate user data, wherein the intermediate user data comprises one or more of a physiological signal and a behavioral signal associated the user. The computing device may further transform the raw media data into transformed media data and transmit the transformed media data with the intermediate user data to a server for second processing of the intermediate user data.
MULTI-CONVERSATIONAL SOCIAL NETWORKING
This invention relates to a social networking application for emulating a multi-conversational event space.
GATEWAYING OF CONFERENCE CALLS TO BROWSER-BASED CONFERENCES
Systems and methods for interconnecting point-to-point (P2P) (i.e. SIP/H323) and web browser compatible video conferencing services. The conference platform gatewaying service may use a virtual web browser participant to send and/or receive video and/or audio over VoIP/Video standards, such as SIP/H323 or other point-to-point protocols into a web browser compatible conference by means of a virtual web browser participant. The conference platform gateway service may create a binding between a SIP address and a web meeting URL. When communication is initiated from a compatible peer device to the gateway/server by means of a point-to-point protocol, the gateway/server establishes a connection to the web-based conference using the binding between URI and URL, and establishes a connection between the Point-to-point and Web browser compatible meeting service.
INDIVIDUAL USER CONTENT CONTROL IN MULTIUSER CONTENT DELIVERY SYSTEMS
A system and method for providing electronic content to a user in a multi user content delivery system. A set of preferences are received from a first user at a preference component. This set of preferences indicates a portion of electronic content the first user desires to receive. Electronic content is received from a plurality of users by a content aggregator. This content is then aggregated. The electronic content is then modified for the user based on the received set of preferences. The modified content is then distributed or sent to the user by the content distributor.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES MARKETPLACE
A system and method for a marketplace is provided wherein one or more requestors and providers engage in pre-paid, scheduled meetings on a computing device. The system and method may comprise presenting via the display of a computing device a marketplace that facilitates providing professional services between providers and requestors. The marketplace enables providers to provide professional services by listing services, marketing services and engaging in meetings. In addition, the marketplace of the system and method enables requestors to request professional services by searching for services, procuring services and engaging in meetings.
Multimedia composition in meeting spaces
Functions and controls for multimedia sessions are shared amongst pluralities of electronic components, rather than run by a single control unit. A disaggregate multipoint control includes a plurality of electronic components which are, or can be, coupled over a network. The various components are configured to recognize the others and share functions and controls normally associated with a single endpoint device, in order to facilitate a multimedia session.
