SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USING A LOCAL COMPUTING DEVICE TO SUPPORT COMMUNICATION WITH A REMOTE COMPUTING DEVICE
Systems and methods for using a local computing device to support communication with a remote computing device are disclosed. According to an aspect, a method includes determining a communication condition over a first network. The method also includes sending a request over a second network for one or more other computing devices to support communication for the first computing device over a second network in response to determining the communication condition. Further, the method includes receiving, from the one or more other computing devices, indication whether the request is accepted. The method also includes using the one or more other computing devices for communication over the second network based on the received indication.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
To more appropriately perform a consensus processing regarding update of a peer-to-peer database.
There is provided an information processing apparatus including: an acquiring unit that acquires a value indicating an influence of a user; and a consensus processing unit that performs consensus processing regarding update of a P2P database on the basis of the value indicating the influence.
Locality based content distribution
A system and method for content distribution are provided. A content provider generates a network topology having one or more subnetworks made up of content sources. The content provider segments content, such as applications, into segments for distribution. The content provider then distributes the content such that for each identified subnetwork, each content segment is distributed to a content source. Subsequent, client computing device requests for content can be serviced by selecting a content source in a particular subnetwork selected for delivering the requested content to the client computing device to minimize traffic flow of the requested content through the nodes of the distribution network.
Tiered access-oriented blockchain architecture
In one embodiment, a method for maintaining a blockchain in a blockchain system is disclosed. The method may include determining whether a number of blocks included in the blockchain satisfies a threshold block condition. The blocks comprise an initial genesis block and one or more subsequent blocks. The method may also include, responsive to determining the number of blocks in the blockchain satisfies the threshold block threshold condition, determining whether a number of nodes participating in the blockchain system satisfies a threshold node condition. The method may also include, responsive to determining the number of nodes participating in the blockchain satisfies the threshold node condition, generating a subsequent genesis block by hashing the blockchain including the genesis block and the one or more subsequent blocks.
Device for participating in a network for sharing media consumption activity
A device and server for participating in a network for sharing media consumption activity is disclosed. For example, the device receives information identifying a media item as a result of playing the media item on a second user device associated with a friend of the plurality of friends and the friend of a plurality of friends. The device presents information identifying the media item selected for play on the second user device and the friend associated with the second user device and identifying a plurality of other media items and a subset of the plurality of friends. The device obtains a selection of a second media item for play, the second media item, and initiates play of the media item. The device provides, as a result of playing the second media item, information identifying the second media item and the user for sharing with the plurality of friends of the user.
Mobile peer-to-peer content sharing method and system
Embodiments of the disclosure set forth methods for sharing data in a wireless network. Some example methods include storing in a database a content related information associated with a first mobile device, receiving a request for the content related information from a second mobile device, searching the database for the content related information, and transmitting a search result to the second mobile device to enable the transfer of content between the first mobile device and the second mobile device.
Edge resource sharing
The present disclosure generally discloses improvements in computer performance in service providing architectures, including deployment of services in service providing architectures using edge resource sharing. The improvements to computer performance in deployment of services in service providing architectures using edge resource sharing may be based on edge resource sharing capabilities which may be configured to support deployment of services in service providing architectures using edge resource sharing. The edge resource sharing capabilities may be configured to enable an infrastructure provider device of an infrastructure provider to facilitate sharing of edge device resources of edge devices of an edge resource owner for supporting services of a service provider that offers services to customers.

TRANSFER OF CONTENT IN A PEER-TO-PEER NETWORK
A method of monitoring a transfer of a block of content from a first device to a second device in a peer-to-peer network is described. A monitoring device performs a smart contract in the peer-to-peer network by receiving a reusable proof of work related to a transfer of the block of content from the first device and from the second device; receiving a proof of possession of the block of content from the second device; and logging a result of the data transfer on a blockchain for transfer of blocks of content.
