DATA CENTER RESELECTION
An initial data center is selected to host the online conference. This data center can be selected based on the locations of the participants, a weighting (or ‘priority’) of the participants, or a combination of the two (e.g., locations that are weighted by the participant's priority.) Typically, the data center closest to the centroid (i.e., geometric center, or ‘center of mass’) of the participants is selected. In anticipation that participants will join and/or leaver the conference, a list is calculated that each possible change to a respective data center that will be selected if that change occurs. This list may be distributed to the data centers that, if selected, would host the online conference.

DISTRIBUTED CACHE FOR STATE TRANSFER OPERATIONS
A network arrangement that employs a cache having copies distributed among a plurality of different locations. The cache stores state information for a session with any of the server devices so that it is accessible to at least one other server device. Using this arrangement, when a client device switches from a connection with a first server device to a connection with a second server device, the second server device can retrieve state information from the cache corresponding to the session between the client device and the first server device. The second server device can then use the retrieved state information to accept a session with the client device.
SMB2 scaleout
Systems and methods are disclosed for clients and servers operating in a scaled cluster environment. Efficiencies are introduced to the process of connecting a client to a clustered environment by providing the client with the ability to attempt a connection with multiple servers in parallel. Servers operating the in the clustered environment are also capable of providing persistent storage of file handles and other state information. Ownership of the state information and persistent handles may be transferred between servers, thereby providing clients with the opportunity to move from one server to another while maintaining access to resources in the clustered environment.

Communication protocol, and a method thereof for accelerating artificial intelligence processing tasks
A system and method for communicating artificial intelligence (AI) tasks between AI resources are provided. The method comprises establishing a connection between a first AI resource and a second AI resource; encapsulating a request to process an AI task in at least one request data frame compliant with a communication protocol, wherein the at least one request data frame is encapsulated at the first AI resource; and transporting the at least one request data frame over a network using a transport protocol to the second AI resource, wherein the transport protocol provisions the transport characteristics of the AI task, and wherein the transport protocol is different than the communication protocol.

Automated deprecation analysis in a service-oriented system
Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for automated deprecation analysis in a service-oriented system are disclosed. A service deprecation system determines that a first service in a service-oriented system calls a second service in the service-oriented system. The service deprecation system determines that the second service calls a third service in the service-oriented system. The service deprecation system determines that logic of the second service is duplicated by logic of the first service. The first service is modified to call the third service instead of the second service, and the second service is disabled or removed from the service-oriented system.

METHOD FOR DELIVERING AUDIO AND/OR VIDEO CONTENTS TO A PLAYER
A local area network includes plural content delivery network CDN receiver devices so as to enable player-equipped terminals in the local area network to receive audio and/or video contents. The disclosed method includes: obtaining capacity information from the CDN receiver devices; selecting, according to the capacity information, at least one CDN receiver device for a session of delivering an audio and/or video content to the player; when the session ends, the selected at least one CDN receiver device holds in place, during a predefined time duration, processing resources for a potential upcoming session; when another session starts before expiry of the predefined time duration, the processing resources hold in place are used for the new session. And when another session starts after expiry of the predefined time duration, reselection of at least one CDN receiver device, according to updated capacity information, is performed.
