systems and methods for communication prior to acceptance of a phone call. A method of the present invention that is comprised the steps of: generating a phone number; generating a message to be presented upon receipt of a phone call; generating a Rich Contact containing said message and said phone number; transmitting the Rich Contact to a recipient phone device and further storing it therein; initiating a phone call bearing a phone number of the Rich Contact to said recipient phone device; wherein, upon receipt of the phone call on the phone device, a default call application shall identify said phone number of said phone call and present said message from said Rich Contact associated with the phone number.

Various media or other related information may be provided during a call between a calling device and a called device. One example method of operation may include initiating a call via an origination device to a recipient device, transmitting a call notification to an enhanced information server responsive to initiating the call, retrieving enhanced information associated with the intended recipient device and/or the origination device, transmitting the enhanced information to the intended recipient device and/or the origination device, and connecting the call between the origination device and the intended recipient device.

An in-vehicle navigation apparatus with a handsfree function establishes a Bluetooth communication link with a cellular phone. When receiving from the cellular phone outgoing call history data and incoming call history data, which were stored in the cellular phone before establishing the Bluetooth communication link, the in-vehicle navigation apparatus stores, in a work memory, the received outgoing call history data and the received incoming call history data, equally to, of the navigation apparatus itself, outgoing call history data and incoming call history data. An outgoing call operation then becomes possible using outgoing call history data and incoming call history data, which are stored in the work memory.

A hands-free apparatus includes a memory and a hardware processor coupled to the memory. The hardware processor is configured to: connect to a mobile phone to enable a hands-free telephone conversation; receive at least one data of outgoing call history data, incoming call history data, missed call history data, and phonebook data stored in the mobile phone; and execute synchronization permission checking processing to check whether transfer of the at least one data is permitted in the mobile phone before receiving the at least one data from the mobile phone.

A hands-free apparatus includes a memory, and a hardware processor coupled to the memory. The hardware processor is configured to: connect to a plurality of mobile phones to enable a hands-free telephone conversation; and receive at least one data among outgoing call history data, incoming call history data, missed call history data, and phonebook data stored in one mobile phone among the plurality of mobile phones. The hardware processor is configured to, when receiving the data from the one mobile phone, execute reception of the data from a second mobile phone at a prescribed timing.

A method of enhancing personal contact information display on a mobile device is disclosed herein. The method of enhancing personal contact information display on a mobile device includes integrating a software code with an operating system for the mobile device. The code is configured to interact with a voice message module, the phone module, the internet module, and the personal contact information module of the mobile device operating system. The method of enhancing personal contact information display on a mobile device is useful for viewing contact information and accessing at least one voicemail left by a first-user.

A hands-free device includes a memory, and a hardware processor coupled to the memory. The hardware processor being configured to: connect to a mobile phone to enable a hands-free call; receive at least one of outgoing call history data, incoming call history data, missed call history data, and phonebook data stored in the mobile phone; and delete data transferred from the mobile phone in a case where a predetermined condition is satisfied.

A hands-free device is disclosed, in which a memory and a hardware processor connected to the memory are included. The hardware processor establishes a connection with a mobile phone using a hands-free communication protocol for making a hands-free call. The hardware processor establishes a connection with the mobile phone using a data transfer protocol for transferring phone data about a phone to receive the phone data transferred from the mobile phone, and stores the phone data into the memory. When a phone communication state of the mobile phone is transitioned while the phone data is being transferred, the hardware processor executes transfer control in accordance with transfer criteria, each depending on a type of the phone data being transferred and the phone communication state after the transition.

A method, computer system, and a computer program product for enhanced caller identification (ID) is provided. The present invention may include, receiving, by a receiving party device, a call from a calling party device. The present invention may also include, retrieving, by the receiving party device, a previous interaction information corresponding to a previous interaction between a receiving party associated with the receiving party device and a calling party associated with the calling party device. The present invention may further include, in response to the received call from the calling party device, displaying, on the receiving party device, the retrieved previous interaction information corresponding to the previous interaction between the receiving party and the calling party.

To provide a called one with information on the caller, a reference to a resource containing real-time or near-real-time information relating to the caller, or information deduced using the real-time or near-real-time information, or the real-time or near-real-time information, or the information deduced using the real-time or near-real-time information, is transmitted with a connection establishment request, and the information in the resource or the received information is displayed to the called one before the requested connection is established so that the called one can make a decision whether or not to answer the call.
