20230231820 · 2023-07-20 · ·

Systems and methods for managing a set of electronic assets from a single location are disclosed. The method includes providing a portal with a network security access control. The method includes determining that login credentials input to the access control are associated with a set of electronic assets corresponding to a plurality of third-party computing systems with application programming interface (API) gateways configured to accept API calls directed to changes in functionality of the electronic assets. The method includes presenting, via the portal, a virtual icon to identify a coordinated action with respect to the set of electronic assets and, in response to a selection of the virtual icon, executing a set of API calls that include an asset-specific API call to each third-party computing system in the plurality of third-party computing systems to implement the coordinated action on all electronic assets in the set of electronic assets.

CHARGING FOR THE USE OF RESOURCES IN A DISTRIBUTED NETWORK

An aspect of the invention relates to a computer-implemented method for charging and paying for a use of resources of a distributed network. The distributed network comprises a plurality of nodes, wherein each of the plurality of nodes is configured to run one or more computational units. The one or more computational units comprise one or more application units for providing application services to users of the distributed network. The embodied method comprises steps of running, by each user of the network, one or more local user gas accounts at one or more of the application units and processing, via the local user gas accounts, payments for the use of the resources of the distributed network.

Further aspects relate to a distributed network, a node of a distributed network and a corresponding computer program product.

Device-Assisted Services for Protecting Network Capacity

Device Assisted Services (DAS) for protecting network capacity is provided. In some embodiments, DAS for protecting network capacity includes monitoring a network service usage activity of the communications device in network communication; classifying the network service usage activity for differential network access control for protecting network capacity; and associating the network service usage activity with a network service usage control policy based on a classification of the network service usage activity to facilitate differential network access control for protecting network capacity.

Device Group Partitions and Settlement Platform

Device group partitions and a settlement platform are provided. In some embodiments, device group partitions (e.g., partitions of devices based on associated device groups) are provided. In some embodiments, a settlement platform service is provided. In some embodiments, a settlement platform service is provided for partitioned devices. In some embodiments, collecting device generated service usage information for one or more devices in wireless communication on a wireless network; and aggregating the device generated service usage information for a settlement platform for the one or more devices in wireless communication on the wireless network is provided. In some embodiments, a settlement platform implements a service billing allocation and/or a service/transactional revenue share among one or more partners. In some embodiments, service usage information includes micro-CDRs, which are used for CDR mediation or reconciliation that provides for service usage accounting on any device activity that is desired. In some embodiments, each device activity that is desired to be associated with a billing event is assigned a micro-CDR transaction code, and a service processor of the device is programmed to account for that activity associated with that transaction code. In some embodiments, a service processor executing on a wireless communications device periodically reports (e.g., during each heartbeat or based on any other periodic, push, and/or pull communication technique(s)) micro-CDR usage measures to, for example, a service controller or some other network element for CDR mediation or reconciliation.

METHOD AND ARRANGEMENTS RELATING TO GROUP TRANSMISSION IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORK

Methods and devices for supporting charging relating to a group transmission in a wireless communication network. The group transmission involving a group of wireless devices configured to, via one or more direct communication links between each other, participate in transmission of user data between a source wireless device and the network. It is obtained, for each one of wireless devices of the group, a data amount indicator indicating how much data the wireless device has been involved in transmitting as part of the group transmission. It is provided one or more reports based on the obtained data amount indicators to one or more core network nodes.

System, method, and computer program for providing device centric payment authorization in roaming conditions
11470203 · 2022-10-11 · ·

A system, method, and computer program product are provided for providing device centric payments in roaming conditions. In operation, a device requests service from a visiting communication network. The device provides an identity associated with the device. The device records an amount of service utilized (e.g. utilizing blockchain technology, etc.). The device submits the amount of service utilized to the visiting network or to a blockchain, such that the visiting network is capable of determining whether the amount of service utilized recorded by the device is similar to an amount of service usage measured by the visiting network (e.g. when an established credit limit available has been utilized, etc.).

Method to push toll-free applications to a user device
09838547 · 2017-12-05 · ·

The present system relates to a server providing data connectivity to an electronic device. The server includes a memory storing data connectivity policy information for the electronic device. The policy information defines a data traffic threshold marking a change in data traffic billing for data traffic the electronic device may exchange with service provider(s) over a telecommunication network. The server has a receiver, which monitors data traffic from instances of applications installed on the electronic device, and has a usage monitor, which maintains a first quantity indicative of the monitored data traffic. A data connectivity policy manager detects that the first quantity exceeds the data traffic threshold of the data connectivity policy, determines a first application requesting such traffic, retrieves a second application linked to the first application, the second application having data traffic billing specific to the second application, and presents the second application to the electronic device.
