Method and system for fairly charging talk time of video call that introduces new person
A computer-implemented billing method including displaying, on a video call screen, video data related to a counterpart terminal with which a video call is connected, recognizing reaction information input from the counterpart terminal based on the video data related to the counterpart terminal displayed on the video call screen, and generating billing data related to the recognized reaction information of the counterpart terminal based on a billing policy may be provided.
Mobile communications with quality of service
A mobile communications system includes switching between communication paths based on the quality of service. A VoIP service is coupled to a mobile network and a wireless local-area network (WLAN) via a wide-area IP network. A plurality of mobile communications devices are associated with VoIP telephone numbers. A public switched telephone network (PSTN) is coupled to the plurality of mobile communications devices and coupled to the VoIP service. A quality of service server is coupled to the plurality of mobile communications devices via the wide-area IP network for determining the quality of data channels to a mobile communications device via the mobile network and to the mobile communications device via the WLAN. A voice call is carried over one of the mobile network, the WLAN, and the PSTN depending on the quality of the data channels.
POST-CONFERENCE PLAYBACK SYSTEM HAVING HIGHER PERCEIVED QUALITY THAN ORIGINALLY HEARD IN THE CONFERENCE
Some aspects of the present disclosure involve the recording, processing and playback of audio data corresponding to conferences, such as teleconferences. In some teleconference implementations, the audio experience heard when a recording of the conference is played back may be substantially different from the audio experience of an individual conference participant during the original teleconference. In some implementations, the recorded audio data may include at least some audio data that was not available during the teleconference. In some examples, the spatial characteristics of the played-back audio data may be different from that of the audio heard by participants of the teleconference.
AUTHENTICATION AND CONTROL OF INCOMING COMMUNICATION
An incoming communication processing system and method is disclosed for providing communication and data services to residents of a controlled facility. Specifically, the incoming communication processing system allows outside parties to initiate communications to residents of a controlled facility. The incoming communication processing system may work in conjunction with or separately from an outgoing communication processing system. Many restrictions and safeguards may be implemented within the incoming communication system in order to prevent improper use.
Phone appliance with display screen and methods for using the same
A phone appliance and method of use are provided where the phone appliance can be used to make VoIP communications calls. In a preferred embodiment, the phone appliance includes an RF connection for connecting to a computer or other computing device for facilitating the placement of the VoIP communications calls. The phone appliance further includes a display or portal for depicting advertisements provided by various advertisers. The advertisements provided can be used to defray all or part of the cost associated with making VoIP communications calls. The portal can also be used to communicate with businesses for ordering products. such as ordering a pizza, and to perform various services, such as purchasing stocks. In an exemplary system, the phone appliance is used to transmit to a control center information related to the user of the phone appliance, such as interests and buying habits, and queries for receiving additional information for various advertised products and services. The control center transmits the queries to the appropriate vendors for providing the user with additional information. Other functions and features are provided to the phone appliance, such as being able to download e-mail messages stored within or received by the computer.
Multiple-factor authentication
One example involves a communications server providing communications services to remotely-situated client entities, wherein each client entity is associated with users and each user is associated with a communication device. The server may verify a first authentication factor for a user among the users, and generate a communication request that includes a first portion specifying at least one target endpoint associated with the user and a second portion associated with or indicating the security code and that includes a set of instructions which: are specific to the user, which specify how to communicate the security code for the user, and which specify different security codes for different types of communications. Via the server, the security code is sent to the user according to the set of instructions, and verified via a second authentication factor associated with or for the user by comparing input from the user to the security code.
Trigger management for roaming calls in IMS networks
An IP Multimedia Subsystem Service Control Point (IMS-SCP) module of a carrier network may provide trigger management for a request for a circuit switched (CS) call. For example, an IMS-SCP module may receive an request for a CS call associated with a user equipment. The IMS-SCP module may determine handling of the request for the CS call includes one or more first operations by a first feature platform and one or more second operations by a second feature platform. In response to the determining, the IMS-SCP module may perform trigger management associated with the request for the CS call. The trigger management may include invoking, by the IMS-SCP module, the one or more first operations of the first feature platform and, subsequent to the invoking the one or more first operations, invoking the one or more second operations of the second feature platform.
Device failure influence range grasping apparatus, device failure influence range grasping method, and program
Provided are an apparatus failure influence range recognition apparatus, an apparatus failure influence range recognition method, and a program capable of billing for a proper call charge for a call suspected of non-provision of a service. An apparatus failure influence range recognition apparatus includes a reception unit configured to receive apparatus failure information which is failure information of an element constituting a network, user information which is information regarding a user of a service, and call details information of an IP telephone, and a calculation unit configured to calculate, by linking the apparatus failure information, the user information, and the call details information with each other, a subtracted call charge with respect to a call charge for a suspected call influenced by an apparatus failure.
Identifying and processing, for priority, calls in data communications server
Apparatuses and methods concerning routing and processing of calls in a server are disclosed, and involving a processing circuit communicatively coupled to a server that routes calls (e.g., data communications) for a plurality of end-users and generates call event messages for the routed calls. The processing circuit generates call summary data and evaluates the call summary data to identify a set of incoming calls to the server that were missed and have not been returned by the end-users. Certain of the calls are checked relative to a secondary data source and respective priorities for the set of incoming calls are ascribed for further processing, and some having a higher priority.
Apparatuses, methods and systems for implementing a trusted subscription management platform
Apparatuses, methods, and computer readable storage media are provided for implementing a trusted subscription management platform. An example server device is configured to transmit, to a trusted UI client of a mobile station, information regarding a set of virtual SIM cards associated with the mobile station, and receive, from the trusted UI client of the mobile station, a request to provision a particular virtual SIM card. The server device is further configured to initiate, by an SM-SR module and via a trusted baseband client of the mobile device, a secure proxy channel between the server device and a profile manager that hosts the particular virtual SIM card, and transmit, via the secure proxy channel and to the profile manager, an instruction regarding the particular virtual SIM card. Corresponding methods and computer readable storage media are provided.
