SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING USER NOTIFICATIONS
A method performed by an end user device associated with a service plan having a limit on usage of a network service, the method comprising storing one or more notification actions corresponding to one or more notification requests; performing a device action that reflects a past or intended use of the network service; receiving one of the one or more notification requests from a network element in response to the device action; performing one of the one or more notification actions in response to the notification request, the notification action causing the end user device to retrieve at least a portion of a notification message associated with a status of the use, the at least a portion of the notification message being separate from the one of the one or more notification requests; and presenting the notification message on a user interface of the end user device.
Method for assisting unregistered user device to access private network service and communication system
The disclosure provides a method for assisting an unregistered user device to access private network services and a communication system. The method includes steps as follows. A request to access a private service of a private network is sent by a user device. In response to determining that the user device not registered on the private network wants to access the private service, the user device is assisted to obtain a temporary user profile by a mobile edge computing server through an emergency type attachment procedure. In response to determining that the user device is registered on the private network through the emergency type attachment procedure, a regular attachment procedure is executed by the user device based on the temporary user profile. In response to determining that the user device executes the regular attachment procedure, the mobile edge computing server provides the user device with the private service.
Techniques for extending a cellular quality of service bearer through an enterprise fabric
Techniques are described for extending a cellular quality of service bearer through an enterprise fabric network. In one example, a method obtaining, by a first switch of a network, a packet to be delivered to a client connected to the network via a cellular access point; identifying quality of service (QoS) bearer information associated with the packet, wherein the QoS bearer information is associated with a radio access bearer for the client and the QoS bearer information comprises a bearer indicator and a QoS class identifier; providing a fabric tunnel encapsulation for the packet, wherein the bearer indicator and the QoS class identifier are included within the fabric tunnel encapsulation of the packet; and forwarding the packet within the fabric tunnel encapsulation toward a second switch of the network via a fabric tunnel, wherein the cellular access point is connected to the network via the second switch.
USER SERVICE PROCESSING METHOD, SYSTEM, AND RELATED DEVICE
A user service processing method in a charging system is as follows: A charging trigger device provides initial quota application mode indication information for a charging processing device, so as to indicate an initial quota request mode previously applied by the charging trigger device for a user service. The charging processing device performs charging processing on the user service based on the indication information, and delivers a charging processing result to the charging trigger device, to enable the charging trigger device to change a charging operation on the user service. In this way, by changing a cooperation relationship between the charging processing device and the charging trigger device, a balance between performance of the charging system and a credit control risk, or between an access delay and a credit control risk is implemented.
SERVICE PROCESSING METHOD, PCRF, AND SERVICE PROCESSING SYSTEM
Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a service processing method, a PCRF, and a system. The method performed by the PCRF includes: obtaining service information of a service, where the service information includes a service identity; obtaining, according to user information and the service information, information indicating that the service requires QoS guarantee, and service chain information; when determining, according to the service chain information, that a network resource occupied by the service may be changed, sending the service identity and the information indicating that the service requires the QoS guarantee to a value-added service processor; receiving target service information, returned by the value-added service processor, of the service corresponding to the service identity; generating a first control policy according to the target service information; and sending the first control policy to a PCEF, so that the PCEF reserves a first network resource according to the first control policy.
System and Method for a Customized Fifth Generation (5G) Network
An embodiment logical function architecture for next-generation 5G wireless networks may include a control plane comprising a software defined topology (SDT) logical entity configured to establish a virtual data-plane logical topology for a service, a software defined resource allocation (SDRA) logical entity configured to map the virtual data-plane topology to a physical data-plane for transporting service-related traffic over the wireless network, and a software defined per-service customized data plane process (SDP) logical entity configured to select transport protocol(s) for transporting the service-related traffic over a physical data-plane of the wireless network. An embodiment virtual service specific serving gateway (v-s-SGW) for next-generation 5G networks may be assigned specifically to a service being provided by a group of wirelessly enabled devices, and may be responsible for aggregating service-related traffic communicated by the group of wirelessly enabled devices.
TELEPHONY APPLICATION SERVER CHARGING FOR EVOLVED PACKET SYSTEM FALLBACK
A server of a fifth generation (5G) network can provide substantially real-time charges for a UE during fallback to another network. A Telephony Application Server (TAS) in an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) can identify Evolved Packet System Fallback (EPSFB) and report the EPSFB to a charging system to cause the charging system to generate accurate charges for user equipment communicating over the 5G network and the other network. The TAS can comprise logic to identify a change in P-Access-Network-Information associated with each network, and generate a call detail records for billing, or real-time communication via an online charging and/or offline charging for the served UE. Information (a user profile, call detail records, instance of EPSFB, etc.) associated with the TAS can be used to make network improvements that decrease instances of EPSFB and increase an amount of new radio services available to UEs.
SERVICE PROCESSING METHOD FOR PROXIMITY SERVICE, DEVICE, AND SYSTEM
This application discloses a service processing method for a proximity service, a device, and a system, and relates to the field of wireless communication technologies, to resolve a problem such as inappropriate charging caused because a network side does not perform, in proximity service (ProSe) communication, service supervision or service management on a data packet transmitted by remote user equipment (UE) via relay UE. In this application, a first network element (for example, an access and mobility management function AMF network element or a session management function SMF network element) may obtain, based on relay information that is received from the remote UE and that includes a relay service code or first indication information indicating that the remote UE is to transmit a service in relay mode, policy configuration information for detecting or monitoring service data forwarded by the relay UE.
Charging for Timing Resiliency Service
A base station receives, from a network function, a message comprising a charging control for time service indicator, wherein the charging control for time service indicator is for a time resiliency service for a wireless device. the base station collects, based on the charging control for time service indicator, usage information associated with the time resiliency service for the wireless device. The base station sends, to a mobility management function, the usage information associated with the time resiliency service.
