Techniques for implementing phone number-based user accounts with permissions to access varying levels of services utilizing visible and hidden contact addresses
This application sets forth techniques for managing phone number-based user accounts. According to some embodiments, a server computing device can be configured to carry out the steps of (1) receiving, from a first client computing device, a request to create a user account based on a phone number, (2) in response to authenticating that the first client computing device is associated with the phone number: creating the user account based on the phone number, creating a hidden contact address based on the phone number, and assigning the hidden contact address to the user account, and (3) in response to receiving a notification that a second client computing device is associated with the phone number: requiring the user account to be updated to be based on a different phone number, or assigning, to the user account, a visible contact address based on the phone number.
Mobile computing device having dynamically reconfigurable session initiation protocol (SIP) phone services
An apparatus enables communication between a user device and a communication server. The apparatus receives a device identifier of the user device and determines after searching a device-to-token database that the device identifier is not associated with any device communication token. The apparatus activates a predetermined application on the user device, and thereafter receives a device communication token of the predetermined application. A mapping of the device communication token with the device identifier is stored in the device-to-token database after which a communication account is created for the user device on a communication server. A login credential for the communication account is sent to the user device in a message addressed to the predetermined application and transmitted via a message server. The predetermined application on the user device receives the message, and thereafter automatically logs in to the communication server according to the login credential in the message.
DYNAMIC EMBEDDED-SIM CONFIGURATION
Embodiments of the present invention provide computer-implemented methods, computer program products, and computer systems. Embodiments of the present invention can dynamically determine an optimal embedded subscriber identification module (eSIM) configuration of respective edge devices connected to a network. Embodiments of the present invention can then dynamically change a data plan associated with the eSIM of respective edge devices connected to the network such that activity can be executed with required quality by the respective edge devices based on contextual need of data processing, volume of data transfer, and speed of data transfer among the respective edge devices.
Apparatuses, methods and systems for implementing a trusted subscription management platform
Apparatuses, methods, and computer readable storage media are provided for implementing a trusted subscription management platform. An example server device is configured to transmit, to a trusted UI client of a mobile station, information regarding a set of virtual SIM cards associated with the mobile station, and receive, from the trusted UI client of the mobile station, a request to provision a particular virtual SIM card. The server device is further configured to initiate, by an SM-SR module and via a trusted baseband client of the mobile device, a secure proxy channel between the server device and a profile manager that hosts the particular virtual SIM card, and transmit, via the secure proxy channel and to the profile manager, an instruction regarding the particular virtual SIM card. Corresponding methods and computer readable storage media are provided.
System and method for network initiated embedded subscriber identity module profile changes
An information handling system may include a processor; a memory; a network interface device to communicatively couple the information handling system to a first wireless communication networks of a plurality of wireless communication networks; an embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) to provide data descriptive of wireless communication network-specific information to authenticate the information handling system; and an eSIM profile switching module to: monitor for signal strengths of each of a plurality of wireless communication networks. Upon discovering that the first wireless communication network has insufficient quality of service to sustain data transmission, send a request to a wireless communication network switching utility at a core communication network requesting roaming during a switch between the eSIM profile for a default wireless communication network to the second wireless communication network; and switch communication to the second wireless communication network while avoiding wireless service interruption with roaming if available.
EMBEDDED SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY MODULE BOOTSTRAP BROKER FOR EMBEDDED SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY MODULE BASED SERVICES
An embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) bootstrap broker for eSIM based services is presented herein. A system generates and stores different international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) profiles corresponding to mobile devices to facilitate respective accesses of network services based on the different IMSI profiles, and sends portions(s) of the different IMSI profiles to an eSIM service. The eSIM service generates respective eSIM bootstrap profiles comprising the different IMSI profiles and allocates the respective eSIM bootstrap profiles to respective device manufactures of the mobile devices for storage of the respective eSIM bootstrap profiles in the mobile devices. In response to matching an IMSI profile that has been included in a request for an access of the network services that has been received from a mobile device with a stored IMSI profile of the stored IMSI profiles, the system enables the access for the mobile device.
AUTOMATIC AFTER CALL APPLICATION DOWNLOAD PLATFORM
This disclosure provides methods, systems, and platforms for automatically prompting a mobile device user to download an application to their mobile device after a triggering event. Triggering events include calling a business, receiving a call from a business, and navigating to a website. In some embodiments, a business can run a targeted campaign to automatically prompt a mobile device user to download an application. In some embodiments, the platform interacts with an application installed on the mobile device. The prompt displayed on the mobile device includes an actionable option to download an application.
Automatic aftercall directory and phonebook entry advertising
This disclosure provides methods, services, and platforms that automatically prompt mobile phone users to add contact information to their phone book after a triggering event such as calling a phone number. The methods, services, and platforms allow mobile network operators to provide a service that allows businesses to potentially have their numbers added to the phonebook of a mobile phone after a disconnected call.
Systems and methods for multi-device wireless SIM management
Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for automated multi-device, multi-persona, and wireless SIM management. A virtual SIM database associated with a user is maintained on the mobile service provider's network. Such a virtual SIM database contains multiple personas for that user. The user is furnished with one “stub” SIM to be installed on the user device for each of the user devices the user wishes to use on the mobile service network. One of the personas maintained by the virtual SIM database may be loaded onto the “stub” SIM. In particular, upon occurrence of an event, a selected user device downloads a selected persona from the network and loads it onto its “stub” SIM, so that the selected user device is now registered on the network with that persona.
Method and system for dynamic cellular networking activation for virtual SIM service
A method at a user equipment to facilitate activation and splitting of data billing between at least two parties, the method including starting, at the user equipment, a virtual subscriber identity module platform (‘VSP’) service on the user equipment; verifying VSP configuration information with a network server; upon verification, starting a data networking access point name (‘APN’) based on the configuration information on the user equipment; and setting a status indicator on the user equipment to indicate the VSP service is enabled.
