A communication data account processing method is disclosed. The method includes: establishing a communication data account associated with a terminal user for the terminal user, and storing communication data resource information corresponding to the communication data account; receiving an operation instruction of the terminal user for the communication data account, the operation instruction including a mobile communication identifier; identifying a communication service provider corresponding to the mobile communication identifier; establishing a connection with a system interface of the communication service provider, and sending the mobile communication identifier and the operation instruction of the user to the system interface of the communication service provider; receiving response information of the system interface of the communication service provider; and performing an operation on the communication data account according to the response information. By using the present disclosure, a data allotment can be transferred conveniently without suffering any limitation due to an operator.

A method for transferring funds to a second electronic computing device includes establishing a first pre-paid payment account on a first electronic computing device. The first pre-paid payment account is used to establish one or more second pre-paid payment accounts. The one or more second pre-paid payment accounts have a value that is less than or equal to the first pre-paid payment account. A first account identifier is obtained for one of the second pre-paid payment accounts. The first account identifier is sent to the second electronic computing device. The sending of the first account identifier to the second electronic computing device results in a transfer of ownership of the one more second pre-paid accounts from a first user at the first electronic computing device to a second user at the second electronic computing device.

An example method for lockless communications network resource quota sharing occurs at a first charging node of a distributed charging system comprising multiple charging nodes. The example method comprises: receiving, from a requesting entity, a first communications network resource quota request for requesting a first resource amount from the shared resources plan; without confirming that the shared resources plan has enough available resources to allot the first resource amount, providing, to the requesting entity, a first communications network resource quota for the first member, wherein the first communications network resource quota indicates a second resource amount less than the first resource amount and/or wherein the first communications network resource quota is associated with a validity time indicating when the first communications network resource quota expires; and sending, to a second charging node, a first resource reservation request for reserving resources of the shared resources plan.

An example method for lockless communications network resource quota sharing occurs at a first charging node of a distributed charging system comprising multiple charging nodes. One or more computer processors determine a predicted amount of data to be used by a mobile device. The one or more computer processors determine a surplus of allocated data based on whether the predicted amount of data is less than an allocated amount of data. The one or more computer processors, upon determining that there is a surplus of allocated data, move the surplus of allocated data to a data pool to be used by one or more additional mobile devices.

The invention relates to a method performed by a network node of managing online charging, and a network node performing the method. In an aspect of the invention, a method performed by a network node of managing online charging of sponsored data connectivity is provided. The method comprises receiving (S101) a user request for service related to the sponsored data connectivity, estimating (S102) a number of users that are expected to use said service, and acquiring (S103), from an Online Charging System authorizing access to the sponsored data connectivity, authorisation for the estimated number of users that are expected to use said service. The method further comprises granting (S104) the user access to the requested service with quota received with the authorisation from said Online Charging System, said quota being valid for a specified time period, and further granting (S104b) any further user requesting (S101b) said service access to the requested service with quota received with the authorisation until total quota authorised by the Online Charging System for the estimated number of users has been apportioned.

A method of sharing a data quota in an electronic device includes grouping the electronic device and at least one other electronic device for sharing the data quota, selecting a sharing electronic device among the at least one other electronic device, through which to download data from a server, and receiving the download.
