Multiple-factor authentication
11558369 · 2023-01-17 · ·

One example involves a communications server providing communications services to remotely-situated client entities, wherein each client entity is associated with users and each user is associated with a communication device. The server may verify a first authentication factor for a user among the users, and generate a communication request that includes a first portion specifying at least one target endpoint associated with the user and a second portion associated with or indicating the security code and that includes a set of instructions which: are specific to the user, which specify how to communicate the security code for the user, and which specify different security codes for different types of communications. Via the server, the security code is sent to the user according to the set of instructions, and verified via a second authentication factor associated with or for the user by comparing input from the user to the security code.

System and method for collecting consumption

Various embodiments disclosed herein are related to a non-transitory computer readable storage medium. In some embodiments, the medium includes instructions stored thereon that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to identify, at an edge network, resource consumption data including a status that indicates whether a service hosted on a cluster of nodes on the edge network is powered on, a type of a resource being consumed by the service, a quantity of the resource being consumed by the service, and a time stamp associated with the resource being consumed by the service and provide, to a remote server in communication with the edge network, the resource consumption data. In some embodiments, the remote server meters resource consumption based on the resource consumption data.

System and method for metering consumption

Various embodiments disclosed herein are related to a non-transitory computer readable storage medium. In some embodiments, the medium includes instructions stored thereon that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to receive, at a server, from a cluster of nodes on an edge network in communication with the server, a resource consumption data of a service hosted on the edge network, determine, based on a metering policy, a unit of measurement, and calculate a resource consumption quantity according to the unit of measurement.

WIRELESS POWER TRANSMITTING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

Methods and apparatuses are provided for controlling a wireless power transmitting device. Information is received about a position of an electronic device from another wireless power transmitting device. Power is transmitted to the electronic device using the information about the position of the electronic device received from the other wireless power transmitting device.

SUPPORT FOR ENVELOPE REPORTING

A method performed in a CP node. The method comprises setting a TQM in a URR to which its corresponding SDFs are applicable for envelope reporting, setting at least one reporting trigger in the URR, to instruct the UP function to generate a usage report upon closure of an envelope, setting a measurement method in the URR, to instruct the UP function to collect usage of volume, time and/or event, sending the set URR to the UP function, receiving one or more usage reports from the UP function, in response to the sent URR, wherein the received usage report(s) comprises at least a usage report trigger set to envelope closure, determining a starting time and/or an ending time for each envelope, based on the received usage report(s), and storing each envelope, with the determined starting time and/or ending time, for online or offline charging.

MANAGING LIVE VIDEO STREAM CONNECTIONS

Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure relate to minimizing data usage over a communication link. A system may include a server configured to receive, via a first connection, a video stream from at least one camera. The server may also be configured to provide, via a second connection, the video stream to a user device. Further, the server may be configured to continue to provide the video stream to the user device via the second connection in response to reception of an indicator indicating that a user of the user device is actively viewing the video stream. Moreover, the server may be configured to cause the video stream from the server to the user device to be terminated in response to lack of receipt of the indicator within a predetermined time interval. Associated methods and systems are also disclosed.

Technologies for converting mobile communications network billing records
09762743 · 2017-09-12 ·

Technologies for converting mobile communications network billing records include a billing record converter system. The billing record converter system receives a data usage billing record associated with a mobile computing device communicatively coupled to a long term evolution wireless communications network. The received data usage billing record is formatted according to a real-time data usage billing record format. The received data usage billing record is converted into a new data usage billing record formatted according to a roaming data usage billing record format that corresponds to a legacy wireless communications network. The new data usage billing record is transmitted to a billing system of the legacy wireless communications network for processing. In some embodiments, the billing record converter system cumulates and converts multiple data usage billing records associated with the mobile computing device into the new data usage billing record. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Managing live video stream connections and data usage

Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are related to minimize data usage over a costly or slow communication link. When a user is not watching a video stream, the stream may be terminated preventing any further data usage on a metered data connection. A system may also include a user device and a back-end network with a stream manager service. The stream manager service terminates streaming over a wireless channel by an application of the user device when the user device determines one of inactivity of a user of the user device with the application or navigation on the user device away from the application.

Method and apparatus for providing big data analysis service, and computer readable storage medium

Provided are a method and apparatus for providing a big data analysis service, and a computer readable storage medium. The method for providing a big data analysis service includes: generating, by network data analytics, big data information according to network operation and maintenance data, and sending the big data information to an application through a network exposure function.

Telecommunications infrastructure system and method

Directed to methods and systems for automated fee generation through the use of machine learning for telecommunications projects. Exemplary implementations may: receive, by a sales support microservice in communication with a trained model running on a server, a plurality of attributes; and feed the plurality of attributes to the trained model. The trained model can retrieve historical data regarding fee prices, identify similar historical projects based on final fee prices and historical attributes of the respective projects, and refine a correlation between historical attributes and fee prices, which can be used in the generation of a fee price to provision a telecommunications project as a result of those attributes.
