Feature management of a communication device
A system and method for the real-time management of a device, and more particularly to the establishment and enforcement of policies or rules associated with the feature or functions that may be performed with the device, such as making and receiving calls, exchanging data, playing games and music, sending and receiving email, accessing web sites, and paying for goods and services. If a child or employee is using the device, there may be a need to regulate how that device can be used and to determine who will pay for what goods or services. In addition to providing all of the features associated with a device, service providers need to be able to establish and enforce rules (policies) regulating how and when that device can be used and who will pay for a good or service requested by the user of the device.
Wireless service provider system and process for providing customizable wireless service for a wireless device
A wireless service provider system for authorizing wireless service on a wireless device includes a backend system. The backend system configured receive a request for the wireless service along with a monetary value of the wireless service in any requested amount from the connected device, receive a payment authorization or a verification of payment for the wireless service in the requested amount from the connected device, and receive a request from the connected device for allocating the wireless service.

System and method for granular network access and accounting
A method and apparatus are provided in which network traffic is separated based on application, query, or other criteria. A first application is stored in a first control group in a resource isolation environment, the first control group being associated with a first policy. A second application is stored in a second control group in the resource isolation environment, the second control group being associated with a second policy. Upon receiving a request for content through one of the first application and the second application, it is determined which control group is associated with the request. Traffic is managed in connection with the request according to the policy associated with the determined control group.
MANAGING METERING FOR DISTRIBUTED IOT APPLICATIONS
The present disclosure relates to methods of metering, and in particular to methods of metering activities of applications in distributed networks. More particular, the disclosure concerns a method for metering the operation of distributed Internet of Things, IoT devices. This disclosure relates to a method for metering activities of an application in a data processing system, wherein said data processing system comprises resource nodes configured to perform activities executed as actors in the respective resource nodes; and wherein the actors are controlled by one or more runtimes in the data processing system. The method comprises tracing, by a runtime, information related to activities executed by actors controlled by the runtime, and metering, by the runtime, the operation of the application based on the part of the traced information, which is related to activities of actors being used by the metered application. Furthermore, the disclosure relates to corresponding apparatuses and computer programs.

TRANSFER OF CELLULAR SERVICES FROM A POSTPAID SUBSCRIBER TO A PREPAID SUBSCRIBER
A method and system for transferring access to cellular services from a postpaid subscriber account to a prepaid subscriber account are disclosed. A central postpaid system receives a request to transfer cellular services from the postpaid subscriber account to the prepaid subscriber account. The cellular services are transferred to a central prepaid system for the prepaid subscriber account. The amount of the transferred cellular services is deducted from the postpaid subscriber account stored in the central postpaid system. A monetary amount from the prepaid subscriber account is credited to the postpaid subscriber account for the transferred amount of cellular services.
