Notification shade with animated reveal of notification indications
A computing device is described that displays a set of graphical elements in a status bar of a graphical user interface. Each graphical element corresponds to a different pending notification. While expanding a notification shade from the status bar, the device displays the graphical elements within an area of the notification shade that is adjacent to a leading edge of the notification shade. Responsive to determining that a particular notification message is newly visible, the device removes, a particular graphical element that corresponds to the particular notification message, and displays the particular graphical element within the particular notification message. In this manner, interaction with the notification area may be more efficient, as during a process of expanding or contracting this area, the user may be informed the underlying state of the set of pending notifications as a whole.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING REMOTE INCOMING CALL NOTIFICATION FOR CELLULAR PHONES
The present invention provides a remote notification to a user of a cellular, or mobile, phone as the result of a particular activity or any activity at all (e.g., an incoming call from a particular person, group, or just an incoming call). In one embodiment, a sensing device is provided on the cellular phone that communicates/routes an alert to a remote notification device. In one economical embodiment, the notification device may have a short wire-based communication channel (e.g., roughly 1 foot to 5 feet) and only have a single output device (e.g., a light-emitting device). Thus, a woman may be able to quietly receive notifications of a cell phone event when her cell phone is stored in her purse.
Button backlight processing method and apparatus and terminal device
A button backlight processing method and apparatus and a terminal device. The button backlight processing method includes receiving an instruction for turning on button backlight; obtaining a button backlight parameter according to the instruction, where the button backlight parameter is corresponding to a current theme interface of a terminal device; and turning on the button backlight according to the button backlight parameter. The embodiments of the present disclosure achieve a color diversity of button backlight, and meet individualized requirements of users.
MOBILE DEVICE NOTIFICATIONS
Implementations for mobile device notifications are disclosed. In one implementation, a method for a mobile device is disclosed. The method includes outputting a first notification of an event at the mobile device responsive to occurrence of the event. The method further includes discontinuing the first notification after a period of time. The method further includes receiving an indication of motion of the mobile device via a motion sensor of the mobile device after discontinuing the first notification. The method further includes outputting a second notification of the event at the mobile device after discontinuing the first notification responsive to receiving the indication of motion of the mobile device.
Device for response operation for signal from unspecified sender and device for response operation for signal to unspecified receiver
Focusing on the diversity of how people communicate with each other, the objective of the invention is to provide a signal-responsive device that achieves a digital-based method of communicating that has been nonexistent until now. Provided is a signal response operation device which sends, to a receiving device of a receiving subject, signals from a plurality of sending devices for which senders are not specified, and causes the receiving device to operate. A server registers the receiving device of the receiving subject, and groups and registers each sending device of a plurality of the senders which includes persons who have been selected by or have agreed with the receiving subject. By any of the plurality of senders operating the sending devices, the server sends a signal to the receiving device in response to the sending of a signal from the registered sender.
Visual notification
In an embodiment, an apparatus comprises a primary user interface, a housing of non-translucent material, a slot of translucent material arranged in the housing, the slot having a primary function not related to user interaction, and a light source arranged inside the housing in proximity of the slot; wherein the apparatus has a primary mode in which the primary user interface is on and a secondary mode in which the primary user interface is off, and wherein the apparatus further comprises a controller configured to provide visual notifications to a user with the light source in response to predetermined events when the apparatus is in the secondary mode.
Permanent data indicator, permanent-data-indicator-managing and -adapting methods, terminal using same
A permanent data indicator and managing and adapting methods are provided. In particular, the permanent indicator is a pictogram permanently present on a screen of a terminal in active mode. The permanent indicator relates to a second datum and being able, furthermore, to form a permanent indicator relating to a first datum distinct from the second datum, the first datum being delivered by a first process implemented by the terminal. Thus, a given indicator is able to permanently inform the user of an active terminal of the value of the distinct datum, for example the permanent pictogram of a clock will indicate the time but also the time remaining to the next alarm, the weather forecast for the next 12 or 24 hours, air-quality, etc. The management of the permanent indicators will therefore be optimized.
Systems and methods for providing remote incoming call notification for cellular phones

VISUAL STATUS NOTIFICATION ON EDGE OF DISPLAY
The application is directed to edge lighting for computing device (200)s (200). The computing device (200) may include a display including a first portion (280) and a second portion (270), where the first portion (280) includes a substantial portion of a perimeter of the display and excludes the second portion (270) of the display. The computing device (200) may also include one or more processors (210) configured to determine a change in a status of the computing device (200), and determine, based on the change in the status, a visual notification (306). The one or more processors (210) may also be configured to interface with the first portion (280) of the display to output, based on the visual notification, a pattern of light (308).
System and method for ring suppression
A system for ring suppression facilitates notification and handling of unwanted calls as desired by a recipient, and in particular without disturbing the recipient. A new social dimension of call presentation logic is now available to callers. A telephony device is configured to receive an incoming call. The incoming call includes a calling line identity (CLI). On the telephony device, individual contacts in an address book are searched for a match to the CLI. If a match is found, a first phone action is activated (such as ringing the phone). If a match is not found in the address book for the incoming CLI, a second phone action is activated (such as not ringing the phone, and displaying the CLI). In other words, a call that is not in the address book of the recipient (B party) is silenced.
