METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR RECONSTRUCTING COMMUNICATION SESSIONS USING NATURAL LANGUAGE PROCESSING
Methods and systems provided herein ensure that communication sessions such as phone calls over PSTNs can be reconstructed in the event that the session ends unintentionally. Methods and systems include detecting a call ended, analyzing data associated with the call, determining, based on the data, the call ended unintentionally, and reconstructing the call based on the determination the call ended unintentionally.
Methods and systems for providing contextual information
Methods for providing contextual information about communication devices and/or services. Profile information indicating a user's communication devices and/or services is stored. When profile information or a message log is displayed, the user may identify a communication device and/or service. A query inquires whether the user would like contextual information. The contextual information may be obtained from a gateway in a data network or a telecommunications manager in a telecommunication network. The contextual information is displayed. Profile information about a user's communicating partner may be stored. When the user makes an effort to communicate with the partner, a check may be made of the partner's profile information for a preferred communication device and/or service. If the user does not have a communication device and/or service corresponding to that of the communicating partner, a query may inquire whether the user would like contextual information. If so, the contextual information is presented.
Call routing to convert synchronous landline voice communications into asynchronous bidirectional text messaging
A Landline Texting Engine associates a proxy telephone number with a select landline telephone number for forwarding incoming calls intended for the select landline telephone number to the proxy telephone number. The Landline Texting Engine intercepts a forwarded incoming call. The Landline Texting Engine detects incoming voice data in the forwarded incoming call. In response to detecting the incoming voice data, the Landline Texting Engine sends text data on behalf of the select landline telephone number from the proxy telephone number, the text data identified as being sent from the select landline telephone number.
Call Prompt Method, Call Device, Readable Storage Medium, and Chip System
This application provides a call prompt method, a call device, a readable storage medium, and a chip system. The method includes: enabling a call prompt mode; identifying a first audio feature of call audio received by the call device; determining a call state based on the first audio feature; and performing call prompting based on a call prompting manner corresponding to the call state.
VOICE MEDIA DECOUPLING
In an example embodiment, a solution is provided that decouples an IVR component from a voice media server, which allows the voice media server to be geographically placed in a location most beneficial to keep digital voice file transmission to a minimum (thus saving bandwidth), while allowing the IVR component to be geographically located anywhere without negatively impacting the bandwidth usage. An additional benefit is that by decoupling the IVR component from the voice media server, the IVR component can be implemented in a way that lets it work with multiple redundant voice media servers simultaneously, allowing one of the voice media servers to become unavailable without impacting service.
ROUTING OF DATA INCLUDING MULTIMEDIA BETWEEN ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Rerouting apparatus for rerouting data including multimedia data. The apparatus is for association with electronic equipment and allows for routing the data to a device regarded as the most convenient for playing the media. The apparatus comprises an announcer device for indicating to surrounding equipment that associated equipment is available for rerouting, thereby to enable receipt of rerouted communications therefrom, and a scout device for scanning surroundings of the associated equipment to find out about compatible equipment in the vicinity, thereby to reroute communications thereto. The apparatus may be attached to any device having data processing capability, to enable rerouting of data and communications therebetween.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SCREENING VOICE CALLS
Methods and apparatus are described for a telephony server screening voice calls. In one embodiment, the telephony server receives, form an originating device, an incoming call to be routed to a receiving device. The server answers the incoming call to establish a communication link with the originating device. The server transmits, via the communication link, a challenge audio signal containing an audio message for playback by the originating device. The server receives, via the communication link, a response from the originating device, and, in response to authenticating the response, routes the incoming call to the receiving device. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
Method and apparatus for managing conference calls
A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a communication device having a controller to retrieve from an address book a communication identifier for each of a plurality of participants, determine from the address book a conferencing type for each of the plurality of participants, and initiate according to the conference type and the communication identifier of each participant a Voice over Internet Protocol conference call directed to communication devices of the plurality of participants. Other embodiments are disclosed.
CALL ROUTING TO CONVERT SYNCHRONOUS LANDLINE VOICE COMMUNCATIONS INTO ASYNCHRONOUS BIDIRECTIONAL TEXT MESSAGING
