SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING FRAUD RINGS

A system and method may identify a fraud ring based on call or interaction data by analyzing by a computer processor interaction data including audio recordings to identify clusters of interactions which are suspected of involving fraud each cluster including the same speaker; analyzing by the computer processor the clusters, in combination with metadata associated with the interaction data, to identify fraud rings, each fraud ring describing a plurality of different speakers, each fraud ring defined by a set of speakers and a set of metadata corresponding to interactions including that speaker; and for each fraud ring, creating a relevance value defining the relative relevance of the fraud ring.

TELEPHONE SWITCHING APPARATUS AND METHOD, AND PROGRAM

In a telephone switching apparatus equipped with an automatic call recording function, when recording of a call is started, a PB signal cannot be sent by operating a button any longer. Further, a user mistakenly assumes that there is a problem because the PB signal cannot be sent. Means capable of selecting, when recording means starts recording of a call, whether a PB signal is sent or not is provided, thus making it possible to send a PB signal.

Smart mute for a communication device

Methods, systems, and devices enable recovery of words spoken while a communication device is on mute during a voice call. A processor of the communication device or a network server may buffer audio segment in memory when the mute function is turned on. If the mute function is turned off soon after the input audio segment begins, or the processor recognizes from the spoken words that the speaker does not intend to be on mute, the processor may transmit to the third party participant a playback of at least one portion of the buffer in conjunction with turning off the mute function. Playback of the buffered audio segment may be sped up so that the playback catches up to current speech of the speaker. Buffering and playback of an input audio segment may be accomplished at the speaker's communication device or in a server within the communication network.
