Conference calls and meetings via electronic messaging interface
Initiating a conference call includes receiving a conference call request message from an initiating user specifying a plurality of other users and determining an availability of the other users to receive conference call invitations. A conference call is initiated between the initiating user and one or more of the other users that are determined to be available. The availability of one or more of the other users determined to be unavailable is monitored and interaction with a conference call invitation by one or more of the other users determined to be unavailable is enabled upon their monitored availability changing from unavailable to available. The interaction with the conference call invitation by the other users is conditioned on whether the conference call is still in progress.
THRESHOLD ACTIVATED TELECONFERENCING
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for threshold activation of an audio teleconference. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for threshold activation of an audio teleconference is provided. The method includes receiving calls into a conference bridge for an audio conference and determining whether or not a threshold number of calls from corresponding callers have been received for the audio conference. The method also includes initiating the audio conference responsive to a threshold number of callers having called into the audio conference, but prohibiting initiation of the audio conference until the threshold number of callers have called into the audio conference.
Systems and methods to automatically join conference
Systems and methods are described to enable a device of a user to automatically join an ongoing conference, where the device is not currently joined to the conference. A first audio signature is generated based on voices of users already in the conference, and a second audio signature is generated based on an audio signal captured by a microphone of the device associated with the first user when the device associated with the first user was not joined to the conference. The first audio signature and the second audio signature are compared, and in response to determining that first audio signature matches the second audio signature, the device associated with the first user is joined to the conference.
ONLINE MEETING PHONE AND CHAT CONNECTIVITY
Systems and methods may be used for connecting a caller to an online chat function of a meeting via messaging. A method may include identifying a user device connected to an online conferencing meeting via an audio connection, and associating the user device to a chat portion of the online conferencing meeting. The method may include receiving a chat message in the chat portion of the online conferencing meeting and sending a text message, including the chat message, to the user device.
SCHEDULING AUTOMATICALLY INITIATED CALL BETWEEN USERS
Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing a program and method for scheduling a call to be automatically initiated between users. The program and method provide for receiving, from a first device associated with a first user, a request for a call to be automatically initiated, at a scheduled time, between the first device and a second device corresponding to a second user; providing, to the second device and in response to the receiving, an invitation to participate in the call; receiving, from the second device and in response to the providing, an acceptance of the invitation; and providing for automatically initiating the call between the first device and the second device at the scheduled time.
Systems and methods of conducting conference calls
Systems and methods performed by an IP telephony system allow a user to request that his IP telephony device be set into a conference calling mode for an indefinite period of time. When the user's IP telephony device is in the conference calling mode, all parties that attempt to call the user's IP telephony device are added to a conference bridge tied to the user's IP telephony device. All incoming calls are treated in this fashion until the user cancels the conference calling mode and returns to a normal calling mode.
