Original calling identification with mobile phone in docked mode

A mobile device determines whether the mobile device is docked with a docking station that connects to a VoIP network, where the mobile device is capable of receiving calls to a cellular telephone number and calls to a VoIP telephone number. The mobile device notifies, if the mobile device is docked with the docking station, a call handling node in a cellular network to forward calls destined for the cellular telephone number to the VoIP telephone number at a VoIP call server. The mobile device receives a call forwarded from the VoIP call server, where the call was originally destined for the cellular telephone number.

Call recording in a telecommunications network

A method of recording media transmitted to or from a first party communicating through one of a plurality of mobile telecommunications networks with a second party is described. Either the first party or the second party initiates a call with the other party. One of a set of call splitters distributed through the plurality of telecommunications networks is then determined to be a local call splitter to one of the parties. A connection is then established between the first party and the local call splitter to split the call into a recording part and a call part. The call part is routed between the first party and the second party via the call splitter to provide transmission of media between the first party and the second party, and the recording part is provided by the local call splitter to a recording service associated with the first party. Suitable apparatus is also described, as are methods for recording the calls of a subscriber to a central recording station using a network trigger set or a SIM application set to divert the call to a recording node.

A mobile device (110) and an emergency entity (120) in a mobile network (130) accommodate emergency calls. The network is coupled to a medical database (140) comprising respective electronic health records (EHR) regarding respective persons. The mobile device is arranged to obtain the encrypted medical identifier of a user of the device; and, upon establishing that the user may be a victim of the emergency, to include the encrypted medical identifier in the emergency message during an emergency call. The emergency entity is arranged to retrieve the encrypted medical identifier from the emergency message, and to access the medical database to retrieve at least one electronic health record based on the encrypted medical identifier for enabling forwarding of information from the electronic health record to responders to an emergency.

Method, mobile switching centre, MSC, and a computer program product for detecting interconnect bypass

A method for detecting interconnect bypass by a subscription identity in a telecommunication network, said telecommunication network comprising at least a mobile switching center, MSC, serving a plurality of subscription identities, said method comprising the steps of setting a bypass threshold value which indicates a number of originating calls from a subscription identity per pre-defined period of time, monitoring the number of originating calls from at least one of said plurality of subscription identities per said pre-defined period of time, and detecting when said monitored number of originating calls for one of said plurality of subscription identities exceeds said bypass threshold value, and issuing an alert message thereby indicating an interconnect bypass by said one of said plurality of subscription identities.

In an approach to locating a wireless device, the present invention receives a call at an emergency entity coupled to a service operating in a core network, requesting to perform a location estimation of the first wireless device. To do so, the present invention determines a set of mobile devices in the vicinity of the first wireless device, said devices being able to perform wireless distance measurements and/or angle estimations, sends a message to each mobile device of the determined set instructing to perform distance measurements with the first wireless device, and receives results of the measurements.
