20180014145 · 2018-01-11 · ·

Methods and apparatuses for enhanced security for near field communication Bluetooth devices are described. In one example, a physical proximity of a Bluetooth device is detected with a first near field communications device disposed at a headset base, the Bluetooth device including a second near field communications device. An indication is output at the headset base that a near field communications detect event has occurred. A Bluetooth Secure Simple Pairing process is unlocked at the headset base device for a predetermined unlock time interval responsive to the near field communications detect event. The headset base and the Bluetooth device are paired using the Bluetooth Secure Simple Pairing process, and the Bluetooth Secure Simple Pairing process operation is locked upon completion of the predetermined unlock time interval.

Controlled-environment facility communication terminal and personal computer wireless device docking station with integral keypads

A communication system comprising a processing system is configured to support data, voice and video communications. A docking station is coupled to the processing system and is configured to provide power and data connections to a personal computer wireless device. The personal computer wireless device is configured to provide power, data, and analog connections. The docking station may act as a controlled-environment facility communication terminal, providing communication functionality to a user employing an integral, solid-surface keypad defined in, and by, a surface of the docking station's housing, when the personal computer wireless device is not held in the docking station. The docking station is coupled to the processing system over at least one pair of low-voltage wires having an electrical current sufficient to power the personal computer wireless device. The pair(s) of low-voltage wires may provide sufficient electrical current to charge a battery in the personal computer wireless device.

Systems, methods, articles of manufacture, and computer-readable media. A server may receive a phone call and generate a uniform resource locator (URL) comprising a session identifier for an account. The server may transmit the URL to a client device. The server may receive, from a web browser, a request comprising the URL. The server may determine that the session identifier in the URL of the request matches the session identifier for the account, and transmit, to the web browser, a web page at the URL. The server may receive, from the web browser, a cryptogram read by the web page via a card reader of the client device and decrypt the cryptogram. The server may authenticate the identity of the caller for the call based on decrypting the cryptogram and the session identifier of the URL matching the session identifier of the account.

Mobile terminal and control method therefor

The present invention relates to a control circuit system of a pair of mobile terminals comprising a first mobile terminal and a second mobile terminal. The first mobile terminal comprises a first display unit, a first fastening unit, a proximity sensor for recognizing a connection with the second mobile terminal, and a first control circuit including a first near-field communication module and a first signal aggregator for transmitting/receiving a signal to and from the second mobile terminal. The second mobile terminal comprises a second display unit, a second fastening unit connected to the first fastening unit, and a second control circuit including a second near-field communication module and a second signal aggregator for transmitting/receiving a signal to and from the first mobile terminal. A signal transmitted from the first near-field communication module is received by the second near-field communication module and displayed on the second display unit.

A device includes one or more NFC chips that are preprogrammed to provide a payee's identification and information for launching any of several P2P cashless payment applications to which the payee is subscribed, to a mobile phone of a payor. When a mobile device of a payor is brought to the vicinity of an NFC chip of the device, the mobile device launches a corresponding P2P cashless payment application. The P2P cashless payment application shows the payee's information and the payor may proceed to make a payment to the payee. The device may include an NFC chip that is preprogrammed to provide the payee's identification and the information for launching a single application on the mobile device of the payor to display the P2P cashless payment applications to which the payee is subscribed. The payor may then proceed to make a payment to the payee using the payor's mobile device.

Apparatus for managing baggage, a method for managing baggage and a baggage management system

The purpose of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for managing baggage and a method for managing baggage with which improved usability can be obtained. In order to solve the problem, an apparatus for managing baggage is provided with: a reader unit which reads tag information of a wireless tag attached to a baggage; a storage unit in which the tag information read by the reader unit is stored; and a control unit which makes a determination of a forgotten baggage by comparing the tag information stored in the storage unit with tag information newly read by the reader unit.
