Systems and methods of live streaming emergency dispatch data to first responders
Systems, devices, and methods including: capturing, by a capture device, an audio and corresponding location metadata associated with an emergency call; refining the location metadata to provide a refined location metadata; correlating, by the capture device, the refined location metadata of the emergency call with a geofenced location of the computing devices of one or more first responders (FRs); screening, by the capture device or the computing device, the emergency call data; transmitting, by the capture device, a first signal to the one or more computing devices based on the correlation, the transmitted signal including a portion of the captured audio and corresponding location metadata; receiving, by the capture device, an accept signal from the one or more computing devices of one or more FRs; transmitting, by the capture device, a second signal to the one or more computing devices based on the received accept signal.
Modify voice calls with a moving driver to reduce distractions
A system for reducing traffic accidents caused by distraction from a mobile telecom device. The system detects when the device is near a driver's seat of a moving vehicle. While the system is carrying a voice call between a remote voice device and the mobile device, the system modifies voice signal transmission between the devices by periodically playing a beep or other signal to remind the parties that one of them is driving and suspends voice signal transmission from the remote device to the mobile device when the system detects that circumstances affecting level of attention required for driving merit the driver paying greater attention.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING TRAVEL TIME INFORMATION
Location technologies are combined with other information systems to provide augmented information for individuals such as a traveler in an automobile.
Method and system for self addressed information display
A system and method are described for creation of a mosaic display system. A device is assigned an address which may be used to produce unique sequence of illumination which is based on a code determined by the address. A sequence of images of a number of devices may be used to determine a spatial location associated with a device address.
SMART PHONE USAGE MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
According to example embodiments, there is provided a handheld mobile computing device, for example a smartphone, includes a computing system, a motion detector, a global positioning system receiver, and a touch-screen display to display a user interface and detect user selections from the user interface. A usage goal-setting user interface includes a dashboard and a plurality of user-selectable menu options, the usage goal-setting user interface including display elements allowing a user to enter one or more parameters respecting the goals including physical activity usage goals, social activity usage goals, educational usage goals, and mindfulness usage goals. An activity and context tracking system includes computer instructions operable on the computing system to obtain the user's location, obtain the time of day, obtain motion information from the motion detector, obtain location information from the global positioning receiver, obtain app usage information, obtain operating mode changes for the mobile device. A recommendation engine includes computer instructions operable on a computing system and uses the parameters respecting the goals, as specified using the goal-setting user interface, and information from the activity and context tracking system, and analyzes the acquired information to generate and send messages identifying opportunities for the user to change their behavior to better align the use of the smart phone with the usage goals.
RADIO FREQUENCY SYSTEM WITH PARALLEL ACOUSTIC WAVE FILTERS
Aspects of this disclosure relate to a radio frequency system with an antenna, a radio frequency amplifier, and parallel acoustic wave filters. The parallel acoustic wave filters can each be a band pass filter having a passband and resonator area. The passbands of the parallel acoustic filters can be overlap in an overlap band. One of the parallel acoustic wave filters can have a smaller resonator area than another of the parallel acoustic wave filters.
INTEGRATED TELECOMMUNICATIONS HANDSET
A rugged, ergonomic integrated telecommunications handset includes an electronic controller that interoperates and controls the universal remote control (URC), which connects to multiple radios simultaneously. The controller downloads options which are implemented by the controller. The handset has an ability to vibrate in a silent mode, and has a memory capacity, as well as GPS capacity. Ergonomically, the handset has a pair of side arrays of protruding ribs, which enhance gripping, preventing the handset from falling out of the user's hands, even if the user has gloves on in inclement weather conditions in the field. While compatible with the latest radio system software defined dual net and dual channel radio equipment, the handset is also backward compatible with single radios or with two or more separate radios, and may communicate using Bluetooth.
Apparatus for managing baggage, a method for managing baggage and a baggage management system
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for managing baggage and a method for managing baggage with which improved usability can be obtained. In order to solve the problem, an apparatus for managing baggage is provided with: a reader unit which reads tag information of a wireless tag attached to a baggage; a storage unit in which the tag information read by the reader unit is stored; and a control unit which makes a determination of a forgotten baggage by comparing the tag information stored in the storage unit with tag information newly read by the reader unit.
PROGRAMMABLE MULTIFUNCTION PH MEASUREMENT SYSTEM BASED ON MOBILE COMMUNICATION
A pH measurement system includes a measurement apparatus that is capable of connection to a mobile device and a server and that includes a measuring instrument and a monitoring device. The measuring instrument includes a tube, and a sensor rod that is disposed is the tube and that is for sensing a pH value of a measurement target. The monitoring device includes a microcontroller communicatively connected to the sensor rod, an operation module for operation by a user, a communication module for communication with the mobile device and the server, and a display module for displaying information. The microcontroller provides the pH value to the mobile device or the server through the communication module.
Restrictions on mobile device usage when driving a vehicle
Disclosed are various embodiments for restricting usage of a mobile device when a user is driving a vehicle. In one embodiment, it is determined that a mobile device is in use by a driver of an active vehicle. A functionality of the mobile device is then restricted based at least in part on determining that the mobile device is in use by the driver of the active vehicle. For example, a touch screen of the mobile device may be disabled, and the use of a hands-free interface may be made mandatory.
