IMAGE SCANNING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING IMAGE SCANNING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Provided is a technique for allowing a user to easily check the status of an image scanning apparatus. An image scanning apparatus is configured to transmit original document image data by storing, sequentially in a buffer, line data obtained by line-by-line scanning of an original document and transmitting the stored line data to a host computer sequentially line by line, and includes a control unit configured to perform control to transmit original document image data including notification image data to the host computer in a case where it is detected that the apparatus status of the image scanning apparatus is not normal during processing executed in response to a scan command received from the host computer, the notification image data being a notification of an error occurrence.
TEST APPARATUS
The disclosure concerns a test apparatus comprising a drum (100) configured such that ink drops (200) deposited on the surface of the drum form a printed marking (210) on the surface of the drum. The test apparatus further comprises an ink removal unit (300) configured to remove ink from the surface of the drum. The drum is at least partially transmissive of light and a light source (800) is disposed inside the drum to controllably illuminate the drum.
IMAGE INSPECTION APPARATUS, IMAGE INSPECTION SYSTEM, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
An image inspection apparatus includes a processor configured to acquire printing data that is data as a base of an image to be printed, acquire read data that is data obtained by reading the image printed on a paper sheet, perform correction of a blur caused by floating of the paper sheet occurring in the reading of the image, on the read data, and inspect the image by comparing the printing data with the read data after the correction.

OPERATION MODE SETTING APPARATUS
An operation mode setting apparatus includes: a log information acquiring section which acquires log information of a target device capable of switching a normal mode operation that is performable in a normal mode and a maintenance mode operation that is performable in a maintenance mode; an operation history information acquiring section which acquires maintenance mode operation history information indicating an operation history of the target device in the maintenance mode; a specific operation extracting section which extracts a maintenance mode operation which is to be performed in the maintenance mode under a specific condition in the log information as a specific operation based on the log information acquired by the log information acquiring section and the maintenance mode operation history information acquired by the operation history information acquiring section; and an operation mode changing section which changes the specific operation from a maintenance mode operation to a normal mode operation.
READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A reading apparatus includes a reading device and processing circuitry. The reading device reads a recording medium. The processing circuitry outputs maintenance information based on read information read by the reading device.
DETECTOR AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A detector includes a board with a connector, a measurement resistor, a switch, and circuitry. The board with the connector is coupled to an external board. The measurement resistor is connected to the connector. The switch is connected to the measurement resistor and switches on and off an electric current flowing thorough the measurement resistor. The circuitry measures a potential difference between both ends of the measurement resistor, and determines, based on the potential difference measured, a coupling state of the external board with respect to the connector. The circuitry controls the switch to switch on and off the electric current flowing through the measurement resistor.
Image processing and error handling system and method for printing linearized and non-linearized portable document format (PDF) files
A method of processing linearized and non-linearized Portable Document Format (PDF) files for printing comprises: determining by printer firmware if a printer driver detected that the PDF file is linearized; saving stream data of the PDF file by the printer firmware when the printer firmware determines the printer driver detected that the PDF file is linearized; and determining by the printer firmware if the PDF file is linearized when the PDF file is unidentified as being linearized by the printer driver, wherein the printer firmware identifies real and false linearization error during linearized processing and identifies and processes printing errors in a parallel manner during saving and interpreting stream data.
Color image processing apparatus, control method therefor, and program for executing image processing method
A color image processing apparatus includes an image forming unit configured to form a color image using recording materials of plural colors, an image processing unit configured to implement plural image processing methods that achieve plural types of pseudo-halftone representations, a color measurement unit configured to perform color measurement of the color image formed by the image forming unit, and a control unit configured to control execution of multi-color calibration in which the color measurement unit performs color measurement of a pattern image including plural multi-color patch images formed using recording materials of plural colors by using a smaller number of image processing methods than plural image processing methods used in single-color calibration for correcting reproduction characteristics of single-color images formed by the image forming unit and in which reproduction characteristics of a multi-color image formed by the image forming unit are corrected using a result of the color measurement.
Lighting device and inspection device with light irradiation port configured to discharge cooling air
A lighting device (23) irradiates a web under conveyance with light. The lighting device includes a light source (43), and an irradiation port (61) configured to open linearly in a widthwise direction of the web at an end portion facing the web. The irradiation port (61) is formed between first and second parallel portions (62b, 63b) where a first plate member (62) and a second plate member (63) parallelly face each other. The web under conveyance is irradiated with linear light. It is possible to provide a lighting device capable of irradiating only an inspection region of a sheet or a web with light.
