The first screen data transmitter transmits first screen data for displaying a first setting screen to the external device in response to the first determiner determining that the second type of service is not currently provided. The first disconnector disconnects the continuous connection in response to selection of a disconnection button included in the first setting screen displayed on the external device.

In a communication system including a communication apparatus and a communication terminal which are able to perform wireless communication with each other, the communication apparatus includes a first wireless communication interface conforming to a Bluetooth standard and including a plurality of antennas, and the communication terminal includes a second wireless communication interface conforming to the Bluetooth standard and one or more controllers configured to acquire angle information and radio field intensity information based on a result of a plurality of radio waves respectively emitted from the plurality of antennas having been received by the second wireless communication interface, and, in response to the angle information and the radio field intensity information having satisfied a predetermined condition, transmit a request for establishment of wireless communication conforming to the Bluetooth standard to the first wireless communication interface via the second wireless communication interface.

Methods and systems are described for distributing and receiving fax transmissions via a data connection that is owned by a service provider. In one embodiment, a fax server receives a signaling protocol invite from a telephone service provider in response to the telephone service provider receiving, over a circuit switched network and from a source device, an incoming call signal to a fax telephone number of the service provider. The server responds to the invite by establishing a data connection based on the signaling protocol with the telephone service provider, where the data connection is owned by the service provider. The server receives an incoming fax message that is in a fax format and is routed by the telephone service provider as the source device transmits the incoming fax message. The server transmits the fax message to a destination address.
System and method for distributed processing in an internet protocol network
A system and method for distributed processing in an Internet Protocol network is provided. A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, an application server can have a controller element to receive a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) INVITE message from a communication device, establish a Real Time Protocol (RTP) channel between the communication device and the application server responsive to the SIP INVITE message, and submit a SIP SUBSCRIBE message to an intermediate communication node (ICN) directing the ICN to engage one or more Digital Signal Processing (DSP) resources for processing signals in the RTP channel. A function executing device is configured to send a wireless identifier to a communication device via a first type of wireless communication interface for setting up a wireless connection.
