A relay apparatus, which communicates with an operation device, operates in cooperation with a first server and a second server to send data identification information that identifies electronic data to be output from an output apparatus to the first server in response to a first request transmitted from the first server, and to send the electronic data obtained by the first server using the data identification information and output apparatus identification information that identifies the output apparatus to the second server in response to a second request transmitted from the second server to control output of the electronic data from the output apparatus.

A communication apparatus transmits data externally via different communication interfaces by performing operations including externally transmitting a request for a name resolution of a hostname, identifying a communication interface, and registering, in a routing table, routing information. The name resolution request is transmitted in a case where a request for the name resolution of the hostname is received from an application of the communication apparatus. The communication interface identity arises where the name resolution of the hostname request has been externally transmitted and the name resolution of the hostname is successfully executed. The identified communication interface is associated with a Domain Name System (DNS) server by which the name resolution of the hostname is successfully executed. The registered routing information is for communicating with an external apparatus identified by an Internet Protocol (IP) address acquired as a result of the name resolution of the hostname via the identified communication interface.

An image output management apparatus includes a determination unit and a generating unit. The determination unit compares, with one another, pieces of request information for requesting image output, and thus determines pieces of request information satisfying a predetermined similarity condition. The generating unit generates presentation information as prior information. The presentation information indicates the pieces of request information satisfying the similarity condition. The prior information is presented to a user before execution of image output according to the pieces of request information.

An information processing apparatus coupled to a device via at least one of a plurality of networks includes a memory having computer readable instructions and at least one processor configured to execute the computer readable instructions to transmit to the device first communication information for performing communication between the device and the information processing apparatus, when a process is requested from the device; determine whether the communication is possible via a first network to which the device is coupled according to whether the communication is performed using the first communication information; connect to a second network using second communication information for connecting to the second network, when the communication is determined impossible via the first network; and determine whether the communication is possible via the second network according to whether the communication is performed using the first communication information via the second network.

An image forming apparatus includes a communication processor, an external communication processor, and an approval processor. The communication processor is configured to communicate with a plurality of devices. Each of the plurality of devices is capable of generating an image forming job and configured to execute at least one software program. The external communication processor is configured to communicate with a management server. The approval processor is configured to approve transmission of log information relating to a target software program among the at least one software program. The target software program is executed by a target device among the plurality of devices in response to the target device receiving a request to transmit the log information for the target software program. The request is received by the target device from the management server.

An image forming apparatus includes a notification unit that notifies an information processing apparatus that is brought close to a specific portion of a body of the image forming apparatus about information for identifying the image forming apparatus and an access point name; a requesting unit that requests security information used for wireless connection using the image forming apparatus as an access point from a server apparatus that generates the security information on conditions that the security information has been requested by the image forming apparatus and user authentication concerning the information processing apparatus has succeeded; and a switching unit that switches to a communication mode using the image forming apparatus as an access point in a case where the security information is given by the server apparatus.

The communication unit communicatively connects with a terminal device having a sensor. The information acquiring unit acquires information detected by the sensor from the terminal device communicatively connected via the communication unit. The setting unit sets a preferential terminal device to be preferentially connected with the communication unit. The controller performs control to connect with the preferential terminal device preferentially over a terminal device that is not a preferential terminal device within a capacity range of the communication unit.
