A lenticular optical composite film, a preparation method therefor, and a 3D display are provided. The lenticular optical composite film comprises: a first polarizer; and a lenticular grating, bonded with the first polarizer, including a first lenticular array and a second lenticular array, wherein surfaces, away from each other, of the first lenticular array and the second lenticular array are planes, and surfaces, facing each other, of the first lenticular array and the second lenticular array are concave-convex complementary, and the first polarizer is attached to the lenticular grating. The lenticular optical composite film is easy to clean and laminate, and has a good optical effect.

The first and second circular or elliptical polarization states are orthogonal to one another. The detector arrangement detects at least the first reflected portion of the light and the image processor is configured to generate image information from the detected first reflected portion.

There is provided a depth information generating apparatus. A first generating unit generates first depth information on the basis of a plurality of viewpoint images which are obtained from first shooting and which have mutually-different viewpoints. A second generating unit generates second depth information for a captured image obtained from second shooting by correcting the first depth information so as to reflect a change in depth caused by a difference in a focal distance of the second shooting relative to the first shooting.

Multicore fiber imaging

The invention relates to multicore fiber imaging, such as used in endoscopy. Methods are described for processing images captured with such systems to achieve an improved depth of field image or extract 3D information concerning the images, without requiring the addition of additional optical components. One method for generating an image from light received by an imager via a multiplicity of waveguides includes receiving a digital image containing a plurality of pixels, the digital image including a plurality of regions within it wherein each of said regions corresponds to a waveguide core. Each region includes a plurality of pixels, and a first subset of pixels within each region is defined which at least partly correlates with light having been received at a corresponding core in a first spatial arrangement, the subset including less than all of the pixels within a region. A first image is generated from the first subset of pixels from said regions, combined to form an image over the whole waveguide array. The first spatial arrangement may correspond to a measure of angular dimension of the incident light for that region. In addition to increased depth of field, the modified images provided by the invention allow 3D visualisation of objects, eg. using stereographs or depth mapping techniques.
