PRODUCT TARGET QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM

A process includes receiving a target quality value, receiving a measured quality value, receiving a source quality value, and sending a source control instruction. The source control instruction is based at least in part on the target quality value, the measured quality value, and the source quality value. The target quality value, the measured quality value, the source quality value, and the source control instruction are communicated via the communication port. The measured quality value is generated by an inspection device configured to inspect a sample. The source quality value is associated with a quality level of a first group of samples. The target quality value indicates a desired quality value of an output group of samples. The source control instruction causes a source selecting device to select one of a plurality of groups of samples, each group having identified quality characteristics.

SELF-RECTIFICATION OF STEREO CAMERA
20180007345 · 2018-01-04 ·

Embodiments include a method for self-rectification of a stereo camera, wherein the stereo camera comprises a first camera and a second camera, the method comprises creating image pairs from a first images taken by the first camera and second images taken by the second camera, respectively, such that each image pair comprises two images taken at essentially the same time by the first camera and the second camera, respectively. The method comprises creating, for each image pair, matching point pairs from corresponding points in the two images of each image pair, such that each matching point pair comprises one point from each of the first and second image of the respective image pair. For each matching point pair, a disparity is calculated and a plurality of disparities is created for each image pair, and the resulting plurality of disparities is taken into account for the self-rectification.

IMAGE CALIBRATION INSPECTION TOOL AND ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM

An image calibration inspection tool includes: a plurality of substantially rectangular markers, two orthogonal sides of which are connected by an arc-shaped curve; and a calibration chart in which the plurality of markers are formed on a metal plate through machining, laser marking, or the like, wherein two of the markers in a diagonal direction are separated by a predetermined distance.

Addressable crossed line projector for depth camera assembly

A projector for illuminating a target area is presented. The projector includes an array of emitters positioned on a substrate according to a distribution. Each emitter in the array of emitters has a non-circular emission area. Operation of at least a portion of the array of emitters is controlled based in part on emission instructions to emit light. The light from the projector is configured to illuminate the target area. The projector can be part of a depth camera assembly for depth sensing of a local area, or part of an eye tracker for determining a gaze direction for an eye.

SINGLE-VIEW FEATURE-LESS DEPTH AND TEXTURE CALIBRATION

A method and apparatus for performing a single view depth and texture calibration are described. In one embodiment, the apparatus comprises a calibration unit operable to perform a single view calibration process using a captured single view a target having a plurality of plane geometries having detectable features and being at a single orientation and to generate calibration parameters to calibrate one or more of the projector and multiple cameras using the single view of the target.

NON-RIGID STEREO VISION CAMERA SYSTEM

A long-baseline and long depth-range stereo vision system is provided that is suitable for use in non-rigid assemblies where relative motion between two or more cameras of the system does not degrade estimates of a depth map. The stereo vision system may include a processor that tracks camera parameters as a function of time to rectify images from the cameras even during fast and slow perturbations to camera positions. Factory calibration of the system is not needed, and manual calibration during regular operation is not needed, thus simplifying manufacturing of the system.
