FEATURE-BASED MULTI-VIEW REPRESENTATION AND CODING
Aspects of the disclosure provide a method, an apparatus, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for video decoding. The apparatus includes processing circuitry configured to decode at least one first key picture of pictures from a multi-view bitstream. The pictures correspond to different views. The at least one first key picture corresponds to at least one first view of the different views. The processing circuitry determines first feature information of content in the at least one first key picture. The processing circuitry decode, based on the multi-view bitstream, a first feature change to the first feature information. The first feature change indicates a content change between a key picture in the at least one first key picture and a first picture. The processing circuitry reconstructs the first picture based on the decoded first feature change, the first feature information, and the key picture in the at least one first key picture.
On intra random access point pictures and leading pictures in video coding
A method of encoding a video bitstream implemented by a video encoder is disclosed. The method includes storing, in a memory of the video encoder, a set of less than five network abstraction layer (NAL) unit types available for video data; selecting, by a processor of the video encoder, a NAL unit type from the set of less than five NAL unit types for a picture from the video data; generating, by the processor of the video encoder, a video bitstream containing a NAL unit corresponding to the NAL unit type selected and containing an identifier identifying the NAL unit type selected; and transmitting, by a transmitter of the video encoder, the video bitstream toward a video decoder. A corresponding method of decoding the video bitstream is also disclosed.
Method for encoding of a video stream
A temporal sequence of pictures is generated in a method for encoding of a first video stream. To do so, a synchronization signal can be used, which can be derived from a second video stream independently of the first video stream. Alternatively, the encoding of a second video stream independent of the first video stream can be based on the same principle as for the encoding of the first video stream.

IMAGE DECODING METHOD FOR CODING DPB PARAMETER, AND DEVICE THEREFOR
A method by which a decoding device decodes an image, according to the present document, comprises the steps of: acquiring image information including decoded picture buffer (DPB) parameter information and an output layer set (OLS) DPB parameter index for a target OLS; deriving the DPB parameter information about the target OLS on the basis of the OLS DPB parameter index; updating a DPB on the basis of the DPB parameter information about the target OLS; and decoding the current picture on the basis of the updated DPB.

Game application providing scene change hint for encoding at a cloud gaming server
A method for encoding including executing game logic built on a game engine of a video game at a cloud gaming server to generate video frames. The method including executing scene change logic to predict a scene change in the video frames based on game state collected during execution of the game logic. The method including identifying a range of video frames that is predicted to include the scene change. The method including generating a scene change hint using the scene change logic, wherein the scene change hint identifies the range of video frames, wherein the range of video frames includes a first video frame. The method including delivering the first video frame to an encoder. The method including sending the scene change hint from the scene change logic to the encoder. The method including encoding the first video frame as an I-frame based on the scene change hint.
PROCESSING VIDEO USING MASKING WINDOWS
A first quantization value for encoding at least one frame of a content item may be determined based at least on a predetermined bitrate and a point in the content item associated with a scene change. A first duration associated with a first portion of the content item may be determined. The first portion of the content item may comprise the at least one frame and may be associated with the first quantization value. A second quantization value for encoding at least another frame of the content item may be determined based at least on the predetermined bitrate. A second duration associated with a second portion of the content item may be determined. The second portion of the content item may comprise the at least another frame and may be associated with the second quantization value.
