Methods and devices are provided for live broadcasting in a live broadcasting field. The method includes: displaying a first button corresponding to public live broadcasting; obtaining a public account associated with a log-in account logging in to the live broadcasting application, when a trigger operation on the first button is detected; sending a live video streaming to respective audience sides corresponding to the public account.

The present disclosure relates to a method and system for presenting a set of control functions via an interface of a peripheral control device (PCD). A control function can include a command associated with one or more media contexts of a host media device. The method decodes a payload, from the host media device, with an encoded context identifier, where the context identifier indicates a primary media context active on the host media device. The method determines one or more control functions corresponding to the context identifier, and changes the set of control functions on the interface of the PCD to include the one or more control functions that can command the primary media context.

A multimedia content management system includes a mobile computing device and a backend server. The mobile computing device includes a memory programmed with a mobile application, a processor module, a wireless communication module configured to communicate over a wireless communication link, and a first multimedia device configured to capture a first video and a second video. The mobile application is configured to transmit the first video and the second video over the wireless communication link via the wireless communication module. The backend server is communicably coupled to the mobile computing device via the wireless communications link and configured to execute a persistent internet accessible request protocol for receiving, updating, and storing transmitted videos. The multimedia content management system is useful for hosting and remotely managing multimedia content.

A system includes a primary playback system and a secondary playback system. The primary playback system plays back selected content. The secondary playback system plays back supplemental media associated with the content played back on the primary playback system. Embodiments provide for methods, computer program products, and systems to improve media playback comprising receiving a variant stream, identifying respective maximum segment durations for a plurality of different types of client devices that will play media content contained in the variant stream, generating, using the variant stream, a respective playlist for each of the plurality of different types of client devices, wherein the respective playlists each contain different maximum segment durations, and delivering the respective playlists to at least one of the plurality of different types of client devices via a distribution network.

Some embodiments operate by automatically providing program listings of OTA content to the electronic devices, wherein the program listings are displayed in user interfaces of the electronic devices; receiving a user selection of particular OTA content from one of the electronic devices; receiving electronic signals containing OTA content from an antenna; processing, using a tuner, the received electronic signals to extract the particular OTA content therefrom; and transmitting the extracted OTA content to the electronic device for playback. In some embodiments, the extracted OTA content is stored in storage of said the electronic device for future on-demand playback to the user.

Systems and methods for replacing original media bookmarks of at least a portion of a digital media file with replacement bookmarks is described. A media fingerprint engine detects the location of the original fingerprints associated with the portion of the digital media file and a region analysis algorithm characterizes regions of media file spanning the location of the original bookmarks by data class types. The replacement bookmarks are associated with the data class types and are overwritten or otherwise are substituted for the original bookmarks. The replacement bookmarks then are subjected to a fingerprint matching algorithm that incorporates media timeline and media related metadata.
