MULTIMEDIA CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
A multimedia content management system includes a mobile computing device and a backend server. The mobile computing device includes a memory programmed with a mobile application, a processor module, a wireless communication module configured to communicate over a wireless communication link, and a first multimedia device configured to capture a first video and a second video. The mobile application is configured to transmit the first video and the second video over the wireless communication link via the wireless communication module. The backend server is communicably coupled to the mobile computing device via the wireless communications link and configured to execute a persistent internet accessible request protocol for receiving, updating, and storing transmitted videos. The multimedia content management system is useful for hosting and remotely managing multimedia content.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM
An information processing device includes circuitry to set one or more images transmitted from an image capturing device and stored, in a memory, as ones to be deleted from the memory in a case that a condition is satisfied, transmit, to a communication terminal, input screen information related to an input screen for inputting information for setting one of the one or more images as one to be excluded from the images to be deleted, and set the one of the one or more images as the one to be excluded from the images to be deleted according to an operation received via the input screen displayed on the communication terminal based on the input screen information.
MEDIA STREAM DELIVERY METHOD, CDN NODE SERVER, CDN SYSTEM, AND READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
Provided are a media stream delivery method, a content delivery network (CDN) node server, a CDN system and a readable storage medium. The media stream delivery method includes: receiving a data packet of a media stream; writing the received data packet of the media stream into a shared memory; and responding to a request of a user terminal, reading the data packet of the media stream requested by the user terminal from the shared memory, and sending the data packet.
INTELLIGENT ASSIGNMENT AND DATA MANAGEMENT OF STORED MEDIA CONTENT
A remote storage digital video recorder (RSDVR) retains multiple copies of media programs so long as the copies are expected to be useful to at least one user. Rather than assigning copies to specific users at the time the program is recorded, copies can be assigned as the users request access to the particular media programs. Copies of unassigned programs can be deleted according to a schedule to reduce disk storage and processing demands on the system. A pool of program copies that are not initially assigned to particular users can be maintained until the user makes a specific request to view the program. This “late assignment” of program copies can substantially reduce the amount of data stored by the RSDVR system without substantially impacting the viewer experience.
Policy based transcoding
Methods and systems are disclosed for providing video content in response to requests in a content delivery system with more speed and efficiency. In some aspects, network monitoring devices may gather content specific and network performance metrics, from user devices and content delivery components, to provide input to a computing device for deciding whether to store or delete different versions of the same or different items of content. The decision may be based on a policy which may include a weighted score based on a combination of usage and network efficiency scores. In other aspects, methods and systems are provided to initially provide to a user device a stored version of a content item, and then switch, as needed, to a different version of the content item using on-demand transcoding.

LIVE COMMENTING PROCESSING METHOD AND SYSTEM
The present disclosure describes techniques of processing bullet comments. The techniques comprise acquiring a page of playing a video to output a video stream; acquiring multiple pieces of bullet comment data associated with the video stream; traversing the multiple pieces of bullet comment data and determining whether the multiple pieces of bullet comment data comprise at least one piece of bullet comment data in an expired state; and deleting the at least one piece of bullet comment data in the expired state from the plurality of pieces of bullet comment data in response to determining that the plurality of pieces of bullet comment data comprise the at least one piece of bullet comment data in the expired state.
MULTIMEDIA SERVER FOR AN ONBOARD ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM, ONBOARD ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM COMPRISING SUCH A SERVER, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING STORAGE IN SUCH A SERVER AND ASSOCIATED COMPUTER PROGRAM
A media server for an on-board entertainment system comprising terminals, the server comprising: a memory for storing media content; a distribution module configured to distribute stored media content to terminals; a controller for controlling the storage of media content in the storage module; wherein the controller is configured to collect the numbers of accesses via the terminals to the media content, to calculate the value of a retention parameter relating to each item of media content as a function of said number of accesses, and to automatically trigger the continued retention of said media content in the memory or its deletion as a function of at least said calculated value.
Tiered digital content recording
A digital content recording network controller device determines a first content of a set of content to be more likely to be requested by a user of a content access device than a second content of the set of content based on monitored behavior of the user. The device stores the first content in a first storage device of a tiered group of storage devices and stores the second content in a second storage device of the tiered group of storage devices wherein the content access device is located closer to the first storage device than the second storage device. This balances storage load with accessibility, resulting in a faster responding system that does not require as much storage.
Advertisement placement and engagement supported video indexing, search and delivery platforms, methods, systems and apparatuses
Advertisements are delivered with videos, the advertisements being cued to begin based on an analysis of metadata associated with the videos such as moments identified from user-submitted comments relative to the video. Credit earned by users based on their viewing and engagement activities may be gifted to other users or applied towards baseline fees assessed in connection with videos delivered to the user.
